I tested this twice the way Riage described. First I targeted an Ikopi lair, with Ikopis all around. Multi Target shot the lair, everything agrod on me of course. Ikopis have low hp and die quickly, not one of them were hit at all after using multi-target on the lair twice. I then repeated the test on a hermit spider lair. Again after firing multi-target on the lair twice, not one spider out of about 5 that were around the lair were ever hit. Just another example of the developers failing miserably.

bugger,

So it didn't cycle thru any of the mobs?

we need more people on differnt servers to try it and see if it works or not and what server.

Nope. Didn't work. Like I said targeted the lair of mobs that woulda died in a couple hits, so I definitely would have seen their HAMs go down. The shot just hit the lair, made everything around it agro, and that was all. Tried it 2-3 times on two different kinds of lairs. I'll try it again though.

Jakara,

I usally use disarm22xon lairs to start the party off then open up with 2 multi target shots, a stim pack and and disarm arm 2 again then multitarget shot a few more times.

all this while the lair is the main target.

mulit cycles thru the mobs. hitting or missing them. durring this.

I've even got the message your target is out of range a few time durring the cycle thru. for the mobs that where out of range.

time when multi will not work for me are when i shoot use it on a target and it dies from the hit. It does not cycle thru the mobs.

I'm also starting to see some funkyness with it too, in which it doesn't do anything at all now. and nothing is differnt in how i do attack.

I'm going to experiment some more with it to night and log combat so i can check it all out.

May the Nerf be with you.

In my tests I did not start with Disarm2. I just targeted the lair and fired Multi-target twice. If you have to use Disarm2 first to get Multi-target to work, I'd say it definitely must be bugged, broke or both. Does anyone believe the developers ever had a concrete idea of what Disarm2 was ever supposed to do to begin with? I'm really having my doubts.

On Corbantis I cannot get MTS to work at all when firing it at mobs. I haven't tried the nest thing... but I will tonight.

Works somewhat for me on Wanderhome. It seems to have the same problem as disarming blast in that it never deals damage to everything on the first shot. Other than that, it properly cycles through targets and shoots them all for a high damage random HAM pool attack. The previous thread we had on this reported it to be a cone attack, but I've found this to be false. It will actually shoot anything around you that you're in combat with. MTPS regularly shoots off at right angles, and even hits targets behind me. If you have surround sound, it sounds like you're being shot in the back.

My huge complaint with this skill is that it takes about a second to cycle through each target (sometimes hits two people in the same second), and then about 2 seconds afterwards of cooldown time (74 speed, 1.9 gun). For damaging a large group of people, the cone disarming blast is much more efficient (not even considering the knockdown), and for small groups of 2-3, it's a lot smarter to use fan shot.

I'd like to see the skill changed so that it shoots everything at once, or at least with a very small delay in fractions of a second. Using HAM for every shot doesn't bother me as a doctor, but that might be a big issue for others.

no where did i say you had to use disarm2 to get it to work.

I just start the party off with disarm2, it works great as a combo disarm2 multishot.

Multi target pistol shot is sh*t. I mean. It costs ham per shot. and it "Cycles" through targets. d00d you will get better dps and possibly better ham costs by just using Tab to cycle targets and fanshot/stopping shot on each respecitve target. The skill is total BS. and definitly not something to look forward to once you start the pistoleer tree. Hopefully they make disarm2 something worth while. since it is one of the FEW special shots the pistoleer has, and they are taking that away shortly.
