I'm just wondering if it is worth it to get these mods, how much of a difference do you think they will make if I get +25 in mods?

Not as much of a difference as +50 would make. That's +25 melee defense, +25 ranged defense and +25 pistol defense.
Since Accuracy is checked against defense, any extra amount is helpful. It'll make them hit less and lower damage a bit when they actually do. The question is, is that extra bit of protection worth the cost in SEAs?

I was wondering this too. How much does +25 pistol defense more actually help?

By this thread, the damage difference caused by a change in defense (or accuracy) is:
delta-damage = delta-defense * (max damage - min damage) * 0.00066255
So for my pistol with max - min = 537
delta-damage = -9 base damage
Other weapons will probably have roughly the same max-min.
The real question is how much more often would I miss if you have +25 pistol defense. No one knows this answer because of the difficulty of testing the hit percentage. I've been tempted to do some testing of this but accurate numbers will require over 1000 attacks just for one data point. Maybe I'll get the energy up to do this someday. In meantime, the only answer if that more defense can't hurt. It might not help, either (besides the 9 less damage when I attack you). Depends on how much money you have.
