Thread: does fan shot work?

Does it? I can't really tell if it does or not, the npcs all agro me but I don't seem to be doing any dmg to them.

Works fine with me especially when you have 2 jedi camping a lair or 2 lairs. Then you can just cycle trough burst and fan like Badger said.

Fan shot does work. Quite well, actually. I'm not sure of the range/broadness, but I hit 8 NPC's all spread out bewteen 30m or so, and each came down to half health (and I know the damage you do depends on alot of things, but my point is it actually worked) It takes just a little bit longer to recharge than a normal shot.

I tend to cycle Fan Shot and Burst Shot, burst shot may have a low damage multiplier and stun may be useless but it does a reasonable amount of damage and is AoE.

When I have a nice Jedi tank near the lair, I usually target the lair with ranged Shot. This will only do minimal damage while there are still mobs around. Then I'll toss out a Fan Shot shortly after it's available. This allows me to let the Jedi keep aggro. If I were to fire any faster, I'd steal it easily. I sometimes do anyway, and then FD to hand it back.

It works...really well actually.


Jedi spin lvl 82 piket lairs - and you use fan shot....sit back and watch the XP roll in.

Yes it does work, I used it last night to complete the phase four quest in the village, I didn't even have to do a whole round of the sith spawning. Got 500+K of pistol XP in less than 20 mins. LOL.

(was in an 8 man all lvl 80 group though)
