Thread: Killed my first Gorax

Well, we killed 4 tonight. I can't solo them yet cause this past week is my first time to ever try to do any PvE thats not normal level 80 mob hunting. Had a group of three, a carbineer myself and a tka. The tka kept dying but the carbine and I took them down easy enough with no real trouble.


There was no loot on them but I can wait and enjoy the hunt to get some good loot. Have a decent pistol thatI bought and will eventually have the shards to build a nice little hand cannon to post on the show off your pistol thread.


Im still learning the hunting "big game" thing. Slowly figuring out what to drink and eat and some tactics. Must say that I can do alot more than I could ever dream about doing two weeks ago, much less two years ago, and it's all due to the helpful and knowledgable guys/gals here.

i have solo'd them, but most of the time i get -retreat- half way thorugh the battle ... damn A.I

I soloed 7 last night and didn't get a -retreat- once. It happens to me more on Krayts then on Gorax. I guess I just circle better on the monkey's.

I killed 100+ solo since the CU came out, trying to get good shards for an FW FWG5, which I did, ending up with some 156 shards.


I recently destroyed that gun to get the kit back after getting a new FW FWG5 made with BH mark loot dropped reinforced casings which far surpass any gorax shards I've ever got.

Bah, don't tell me that. Now I have to figure out what those are and where they come from.


EDITED: Oh I guess common sense would tell me that they come from BH marks. I'm not a BH so I'll stick to gorax i guess.

What are the best locations to hunt Gorax or Kryat?

krayts spawn around western dune sea on tat, Gorax around the se cprner of the desert area.


Oh dath, did fenrir every give you the loot we got?


I think it was you he said we were hunting for.

Yeah he did. The bone armor was the icing on the cake.


Gave most of the trigger assemblies to a smugler friend and am holding on to the shards tright now. Waiting to find a weaponsmith to work with.

I looted that bone armor, I was dumbfounded when I saw it, I killed 10 before I got the first loot, and I got that. lucky for you the loots started picking up after that.

just run in circle motion not in straight line cuase they will go so far from place were u pulled it from.

Since you are from Valcyn and seem to do alot of Gorax hunting, I follow your posts on drops. That's the original reason I ended up dealing with Fenrir. I was doing some RP trying to get information on the gorax and ended up paying him off to have them killed. I was hoping it would be a decent day for drops otherwise it woulda been a huge waste of money.
