Thread: Multiple Template Question/Discussion.

I'm loolking for some help in regards to my template. Now I've read and searched the forums here for a few months on this topic, and I know that alot of it comes down to personal Opinion. My 1st combat professions was Pistoleer... despite all of the current concerns with it, I enjoy it and want to continue with it... the Questions is what to add to it.
I am currently the following:
Master Pistoleer
Master Fencer
Scout 4/0/4/0
Marksman 0/4/0/4
I am weighing the folowing options:
Master Pistoleer
Fencer 4/0/4/0
BH 0/0/3/0
Master Marksman
Scout 4/0/0/0
DEFENSE:
Defense vs. Blind: +80
Defense vs. Dizzy: +80
Defense vs. Intimidate: +20 (I am a little concerned about this)
Defense vs. Knockdown: +50 (Slight Concern)
Defense vs. Posture Change (Down): +20 (Slight Concern)
Defense vs. Stun: +40 (Slight Concern)
Dodge: +180 (+125 is Cap)
Melee Defense: +166
Ranged Defense: +91
OFFENSE:
1 Hand Accuracy: +70
1 Hand Speed: +35
Pistol Accuracy: +145 (+125 is Cap)
Pistol Speed: +119 (Should fire anything at the Speed Cap)
This is of course a Defense Template with the Pistol Specials from BH (Noticably Eye Shot and The Bleed)
Very similiar with a Change in the Fencer Concept:
Master Pistoleer
Fencer 0/4/4/0
BH 0/0/3/0
Master Marksman
Scout 4/0/0/0
DEFENSE:
Defense vs. Blind: +80
Defense vs. Dizzy: +80
Defense vs. Intimidate: +20 (I am a little concerned about this)

Dodge: +195 (+125 is Cap)
Melee Defense: +62
Ranged Defense: +37
OFFENSE:

Pistol Accuracy: +145 (+125 is Cap)
Pistol Speed: +119 (Should fire anything at the Speed Cap)
This is more of a State/Posture Defense by removing Ranged/Melee mitigation.
Modified Focus:

This is designed to add in the Smuggler Pistols along with the terminal slicing. Scout can be Substituted with Medic 0/0/3/0.
I've also toyed with the idea of dropping some of the fencer to get a BH and Smuggler combo... but havnt found anything that jumped out at me.
I am looking for a Template that will allow me to hold my own in PvP while still being useful in High End PvE content. I thank everyone in advance for your help, ideas, ect. I appologize for the post length, but I wanted to get the entire concept out there for discussion.

I think the first option is the best one. However, I see no reason to go up the 3rd tree in fencer, the one for dodge. If you cap at 125 dodge, everything else is just superfluous. So I'd recommend just keeping 4/0/0/0 fencer and getting an +5 dodge SEA to cap it. Furthurmore,droppingthatbranch in fencerwould give you enough skill points to get BH pistols IV (torso shot is great IMHO) and investigation III, if you are interested in hunting jedi.

Ahh. Thanks for the help.
That 3rd Fencer tree is what gives me the Dodge... but more importantly, the Defenses vs. Dizzy, Blind, and Intimidate.
Still think it is useless?
And I stopped crying. I was in the stage of self pity by the time you replied

I like the first one, good for both PvP and PvE. So get yourself a good geo pistoland start fighting in the GCW.

go fight someone with dirty fighting 4 then decide..you will realize that the stacked defense is nothing against last ditch shot. I learned this the hard way and gave the fencer up. If you want a powerful pistoleer,,,keep the bh 0040 and add smuggler 0040. You wont regret it. I thought the same way as you for a long time until i realized the only people i was losing to was people with last ditch shot...gl.

How about going up the third fencer line only to level 3. The reason is to keep at level 2 melee mitigation which I think is of major use. and use the points from level 4 somewhere else

Actually instead of Fencer 4040, I'd go 4400 to cap out dodge and add state defenses. Melee Mitigation is nice but not as useful as the states in my opinion.

Have a look at one I've almost finished as similar..
Master Pistoleer
Fencer 3-0-4-0
Drity Fighting lvl4
TKM
Look at bonuses in comparision to your templates.... i think it a good alround PvE and PvP template

I hope some one reads this that can give me some advice. I am working on a second Charactor, this charactor is a transdosian just in case it matters. I am looking for advise on a good template for both PVE,and PVP. I started with Teras Kasi looking to master this proffession as it is working very well for me except when my targets run from me . I have no scouting at all another point that may help. I am looking for an added proffession to aid me mostly in PVP as some times when I am in a mob lag hits me hard for some reason, if I back away the lag goes away. I was trying Commando the weapons dish out good damage but are very slow . I tried Pikeman again weapons are slow and damage isn't too bad. I started looking into Pistoleer and found the added bonus of being able to hit more often on the run helped , I have not yet dropped my Commando skills , and am not very far into Pikeman. Would the added abilities of Pistoleer help with the Commando Launcher Pistol . The reason I ask this is to switch from TK to Pistols isn't too bad , but when I feel I need that added punch of a heavy weapon would this work . I could also stay back and act more as support when the lag hits me real bad .
My template I am looking at give me your idea's.
