Thread: Is Pistoleer as bugged for you as it is for me?

Heya -
Just grinded up to pointblankarea2, only to find that it doesnt work (it only hits the enemy targeted and misses the rest)
Also, meleedefense2 doesn't KD
disarmingshot2 does nothing
And I've heard that even multitargetshot doesnt work
Is this true among all pistoleers (or just me)

I have some troubles with these as well.
Meleedefense2: This only ever works for me if I am fighting something far below my level- even then very rare.
Disarm: This bites. Haven't used disarm much since my first experiences with it yeilded nothing but wasted time.
Pointblankarea2: Thisseems to do so little- if any - damage to the other mobs that I no longer use it. Big disapointment here =(
The most I use now are: Healthshots, fan (in controlled situations), stoppingshot (at distance), torso and eye shot (both of whichare BH pistol specials). Everything else would just clog up space in my hotkey bar.
I don't know what its like for everyone else but that has been my experience so far. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or not. I use the right weapons and wear the right armor. It doesn't take a genius to hit a key to que a special. Would think it should work for me if it does for others. /sniff

Its like that for everyone, most pistoleer specials are broken and have been for a long time.
Only specials i use that ara pure pistoleer specials is stoppingshot, healthshot and meleedefence1. Anything else is just a waste for me.

Pistoleer is very messed up right now. I use my eye shot mainly.

PistolMeleeDefense1 Knocks down just fine, use that.
Healthshot2 is out main money shot, along with fanshot
Multitarget pistol shot works fine, as well as hits the lair, so lots of fun when you have 10 guys surrounding you.

But if MTPS tries attacking something that is out of sight, it messes up the attack, doesn't it?

yea thats what i hear
most pistol specials are broke. take BH for torso/eye shot or smuggler for last ditch. even if all the pistol specials worked they would still suck
not to mention your not speed capped and your accuracy is low, so again bh pistol is nice =)

I can't help but feel worried for our profession everytime I hear the Pistoleer Correspondent say that. 
It has it's uses, I admit that (mainly for AFK fxp grinding), but as for working fine...

I prefer to think of it as "survival" until such time as I can survive with the skills provided in one profession, not 2 or 3

Highly agree again. When all professions are competitive, that will be a good day. I have no problem having to work hard and think well to make Pistoleer work against a TKM or a Rifleman, but when Mind is the only viable pool to target in PvP, that's just plain wrong... But we all know that, and CU will fix it I'm sure.
Although I was surprised that in my last duel I actually won with HS2 instead of EyeShot! LOL

And if the CU doesn't fix things, although I think it will, It very well could be the death of the game for me at least.

Yeah, if CU doesn't pull it off, it may be that The Other Game is beckoning me too. I've made some great friends in Galaxies, but I have lots of friends in The Other Game as well. It'd be hard to leave SWG, but I can't afford to play a game I don't get the most out of.

I've been pretty impressed with the Guild Wars beta, so I might give that a try if SWG bumbles the CU
