How is the tick timer for a DoT special affected, if at all, by spamming that special when solo? How is it affected, if at all, by multiple people spamming that special? I thought I read that multiple people spamming Health Shot can cause the DoT tick timer to slow down. I'm trying to find out if I should be spamming Body Shot instead of Health Shot if this is the case.

It has been my experience that the timer doesn't "slow down" persay, more like consolidation so it looks slower. What I mean is if you spam in ten times you wont see 10 seperate ticks, maybe 2 or 3. It seems to me that the game combines multiple bleeds from the same pool into 1 or 2 ticking numbers.
As far as multiple people spamming it, I'd say that the above rule would be here too, that would be a lot of numbers ticking away if there were multiple spammers.
I could also be way off here, just what i think happens.

Hitting HS2 multiple times can cause multiple bleeds? I don't think so... does it?

Let's be clear. Spamming Health Shot 2 does not cause multiple bleeds. We're only talking about how spamming that special affects the DoT tick timer.

So spamming it ten times causes it to tick faster than just hitting it once and switching to BodyHit3 (who uses BodyHit3!?!? LOL)

Idon't think it would tick faster. If anything, I thought it would tick slower because each shot might reset the timer. That is what this discussion is about. I don't know myself. That's why I'm asking you all.

I think that the tick is based off the first time your Bleed sticks, not off of following ticks.

After reading it again, I think I agree.
