Thread: DE-10's and Geo Pistols, looted or crafted?

I'm a very long ways away from getting a Geo, but I'm a little confused on either if its dropped or crafted. Some posts I see references to one or the other. Also what does kyrat tissue do to either of these pistols?
I'm not even a pistoleer yet, but its definatly a proffession I've been wanting to do for awhile.

Schematics for DE-10 are dropped, so they are only available as player crafted.
Geo blasters drop (generally they arent to good if it isnt a DoT weapon) and geo schematics drop and they can be crafted. Krayt tissues enhances the damage in the crafted ones.

DE-10's are obtained by looting a DE-10 schematic off an NPC in the Death Watch Bunker on Endor(-4671, 4237). The schematic has 1 use, and requires a DE-10 barrel to craft it, which is also looted from the DWB. The barrel comes in 2 forms, white, or yellow, white is your base, run of the mill barrel. Yellow can have varying but hidden stats, which are always above the stats of the white barrels. You cannot loot a DE-10.
The DE-10 requires Master Pistoleer to use.
Schematic requirements:
* 35 Plumbum Iron
* 18 Ferrous Metal
* 10 Diatium Copper
* 7 Metal
* 2 Identical Blaster Power Handlers
* 1 DE-10 Barrel
* 1 Optional Scope
The Geonosian Sonic Blaster requires a schematic which is looted in the Geonosian Bunker on Yavin 4(-6454, -362) off the Geonosians and has 3 uses. It also requires one Geonosian Power Cube, which is also looted in the Geonosian Cave. Power cubes come in sets of 1 to 11, and can come in white(no stats), green(increases condition), red(lowers HAM cost, and yellow(increases damage).
The Geonosians can also drop Geonosian Sonic Blasters, but a crafted one is 95% of the time better stats wise. They can also drop with a DOT or with skill mods attached.
The Geonosian Sonic Blaster requires Pistol Techniques 2 to use.
Schematic requirements:
* 170 Chromium Aluminum
* 60 Mythra Copper
* 4 Identical Blaster Power Handlers
* 1 Blaster Pistol Barrel
* 1 Power Cube
* 1 Optional Weapon Scope

Are you sure about Pistol Technique 3? I've seen several other posts that say Pistol Technique 2.

Little addendum to that list,
The republic blaster no longer has a cert, much likte the CDEF, anyone can use it. Don't know about the modified rebublic tho.

Thanx for the info. Are we sure though it isn't just bugged like it originally was?
All modified/enhanced versions of a weapons use the same cert as the base. So Modified Republic is the same cert as the Republic.

newly crafted republic blasters require novice pistoleer, however, there are pre-nerf ones still floating around that require no cert.
