Thread: ADDING CONTENT AND FUN!! TO SWG!

Bounty Hunters


1 There needs to be special bounties like almost bounty hunters storie lines have like 10 special real nast crimanals be released every month they would "stage" crimanl acts like showing up in a town and murdering all the npc or murding one or few. These missions or bounties would pay alot but be extremely hard to track down and extremely hard to kill. When one is killed the bh who did it would not only get alot of mony but would get special bh badges and ranks ( like boba fett is a elite bh). These ranks would affect standing in bh guild and later on would have a hand in player bounty lvls(bounties on other players)


2 Also have special bh missions that pay alot but have backlash like someone hiring you to kill a hut then the huts would put a bounty on that bhs head and other players could hunt you down.This would make things very interesting fun and challenging and the more types of these missions you do the higher your famousness but the higher bounties put on your head. Also the higher or more you have done these missions the higher the rank has to be of the other bh has to be to hunt you.


If you get enough maybe bobba fett himself will honor you lol by hunting you lol. You will also receive a warning if someone takes a mission to hunt you.


3 Also have special capture alive missions this would take special equipment and would be harder then a simple destroy mission


4 Have backlash missions for other profession example a reb commando group does a special hard mission that has backlash the empire hires imp bh to hunt them , bh would be able to hunt them according to there rank and the the commando ranks but if the bh fails to kill them then he losses points in rank plus cant do the mission again.


Commandos


1 Group missions for commandos that would be very hard ie large numbers of npcs bases ect. where commandos would group up and start special groups example called wolverines that could gain ranks higher missions higher pay plus in rare occasions badges


2 Also according to rank these commando groups could be hired by people to take out player bases atsts large dangerous spawns also hire by player cities to clear areas of spawns or to fight pa wars (like mercenaries but mercenaries would always have backlash)


3 Have special missions that could only be done by higher ranked commandos groups like the bh special monthly hunts except large mercenary pirate rogue imps rebs bases that would be hard to find on secondary planets and much harder to destroy that if succesful would give poits toward group rank and badges


4 Also have special faction Missions where if commando group is high enough the leader will be contacted by reb or imp commanders(maybe even main characters) for special missions like in a extreme case to take on a atat or very large base for example Han Solo emails your leader and wants to hire you kill a troublesome group of elite dark troopers.


Pistoneer


1 Have special missions that get harder with lvls and rank that will affect your "gunslinger" reputation


2 The Higher you get in gunslinger you will be challenged by npc gunslingers who will use special pistol shots on you and killl you lol


3 Also gunslingers can challenge other gunslinger players of same rank witch will help affect your rank and standing


4 Your gunslinger ranks would have special gun fight challenge mods like speed of drawl and accuracy


Smuggler (this is obvious but hard to do)


1 Smuggling missions that would have you carry spice or weapons or contaband to ceratian locations having to dodge patrols to deliver resulting in ranks and being able to get higher paying but harder missions


2 Higer ranks would be able to get missions from main characters example Jabba the hut or han solo to delever spice for jabba or weapons for the rebellion resulting in points and higher ranks but some of these would result in player bounties being put on your head example failing to deliver spice for jabba(hmm this sounds familiar)


3 Also have a certain amount of special smuggler stoylines a month example a run away group of slaves has to be found and then "Smuggled" to safty while fighting or dodging npc mercanary bh and crimanls.Resulting in more rank and badges.


4. hmm suggestions anyone i have to have a 4th point i just have to lol


Melee Classes (Battle Arena)


1 Have special SPORT missions where a meleer is highered according to rank or challenged to duel npcs of same melee class and in some situations other melee class and as you get higher ranks resulting in special "Battle Arebna fighting mods of dam toughness quickness and styles and as missions


2 As ranks get higher jabba the hut or some other crimelord(businessman lol) will hire you to take on npc or multiple npcs in battle arena


3 Also have several battle arenba on every planet that would be for the challenging of player versus player also rank of meleer would have special "Battle Arena" mods where u can do special moves and be tougher and quicker also you can if higher then oppent challege several oppents at same time.


4. Also even tho i don't believe in gambeling people can gamble before fight starts on the person or persons of there choice


5. five there cant be five points ok just a hope "POD RACING" lol wait this has nothing to do with melee hmm leave it doesn't matter lol


Rifleman


1 Have special missions according to rank of "Sniping" npcs where u have to smeak past patrols and get at just the right range and angle to snipe or the "guards will be alerted and you will die completion of these will result in sniper ranks


2 Also higher missions will sometimes have backlash like being highered to snipe a high rank imperial officer can result in a small to large player bounty being put on your head depending on mission. You will be notified when some player takes a bounty for you


3 Special Sniper storline missions where there will be npcs reb imp crimelords that will be very hard to find and even harder to sneak until hq or camps where guards will be patroling and you will ahve to time there patrols and also gain certain advantage shooting area like a tower notice all these will be one shot kills just very harf to find and then get to only a certain few of these special targets will be spawned a month and each failure will result in guards being more alert making it harder and harder success of these missions will result in great rewards rank and badges


4 The special Rewards can be example a special sneak suit that would make missions easier or special sniper weapons and equipment example sniper t21 rifle or scope attachments and sniper tripods that will add to accuracy and damage


Open to suggestions or comments about other not listed or listed professions PLEASE DO NOT POST PROFESSION NERFS BUFFS THIS IS TO ADD CONTENT THIS IS TO MAKE THE GAME MORE ENJOYABLE FOR ALL SO PLEASE LIST IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS AND WE WILL ADD MORE OURSELFS AS WE THINK OF THEM

Not to critisize but shouldnt this be on a more general forum and not the pistoleer forum. I mean its about multiple classes not just pistoleer :/

Good ideas. As a bounty hunter the repetitive mission typesare getting rather stale. Seeing this in game would not only add fun content but make gaining bounty hunting exp interesting instead of a complete waste of time. if this could be implimented into the game in a way that the investigation branch would affect the "bh guild rank" there would be much more reward for doing this therefore more dabbler bh's would be interested in picking up that branch, or maybe even mastering BH which would fix yet another problem.

These ideas are great, i do agree some of these should be in the game. Other possible ideas for BHs could be, getting special BH missions from leaders of certain factions, that give you great faction bonuses maybe even some new equipment or somthing (i dont know something cool) that would allow you to show off. Kind of like badges but instead increase your characters abilities.Some possibilities for the expansion maybe, you can go to new planets with no cities(and none could be built there) where the enemies we be so difficult youll need an entire raiding party there. For instance maybe on Hoth there would be quest that you would have to fight some super mutant wompa(incase u dont know wat a wampa is, its the thing that captured luke at the beginning of Empire Strikes Backand it drops a schematic for some rare armor like something weird like wooly armor that after you harvest other wompas you could have enough resources. Then you make it (you only need a generic tool). It couldnt be traded and the schematic is destroyed after it has been used and cannot be given to anyone else.


I thought that would add more content in thew raiding catigory and i thought it would add a cool twist with the looting of the schematic to make the rare armor. Also similar things could be done on different planets with different equipment.




A friend showed me this game and i freaked being the Star Wars fan i am and told him as soon as possible im gonna get this. I got it but im unsatisfied.

Amen to that.


I have been thinking along some of those lines myself. right now everything i do in this game is the equivalent of "farming greens for no loot" in eq.new planets with difficult content that are impossible to solo, have loot, and only accessable by a player pilot would add high end content(sadly there is none right now). If this was done, the current planets wouldfall into there rightful role aswhere you hunt to complete your character, and instead of "farming greens for no loot" on these newbie planetswhen you character is done you can go on raids for uber loot and challenge on these new planets.

I do beleive we think alike Dis, your ideas are very good and i like them. I wish that these things that are said could be widly read but im afraid our ideas would be considered radical on the general boards. We have great ideas that should be know.


Some other ideas i have come up with i have found to very interesting, i hope all that reads thins thinks so as well.


In the space expansion there should be the option to use your ship tto get from one inaccessable planet to another, but wat about raid groups with members that didnt have their own spacecraft or didnt have the profession. I think that maybe PAs could have their own ships so if you have a PA raid onn Hoth or something then more than onje person could be in one ship at a time.


Combat Aboard Ships: First of all the pilot would control the flight of the ship, as for the passenger they would man turrets mounted around the ship. On the passengers screens the interface would be mostly the same but you wouldnt have your skils there and the radar would show all the enemy ships. The tabs would show wat is beiong said and shows damage. As for firing the turrets there would just be a button like a first person shooter. So you would press spacebar to fire and move mouse to aim.


Ship damage: now if you have a medic onboard they arent goin to heal the ships health are they, so i thought up the idea that as new profession there could be repairmen, they wuld get mods to repair armor and weapons, but they would also geta branch that could allow them t heal or repair a damaged ship. This would be a quite a popular profession i would say because not only would the survival of all your fellow guildmembers be in your hands but, you also can get paid for repairing other ships and you would gain exp at the same time. In my opinion that would be alot of fun fr someone no wanting to get a combat profession.

Great ideas. This should be in the general forums and it should be in all forums of the professions you listed.


We need post like these spread out mabe then the devs will start doing something creative rather than destructive(nerfing for those that are slow).
