If you have warning shotdo Huurton missions on Dantooine. If you are cautious you can make pretty good exp. I use HS2,HS1,Warning,Peace. Target next repeat, Kill all little annoying Green Huurton Pups.

Just remember when the red Huurton comes charging back at you hit it with warning shot then peace so it doesn't eat you and it'll bleed to death.

Just takes a bit of practice to get it down right.

Pistol wip worked wonders for me. As a weaponsmith i didnt have the SP to get the threaten shot or warning shot but after you knock them down you get an additional 50% to damage i belive so stuff goes down quick. my noob bh char does well with using the p traps to slow them down. The place i go to get XP is Rori reb base and run Turton missions and Levisqual missoins. the levisquals give very good xp and are too slow to catch you and the turtons with warning shot or the p traps to slow them down are easy xp as well just stay away from the rav. turtons as they gang bang.

Yes, Pistol Whip is very cool against low lvl creatures...yes

Now, try some HL ones you can slaughter as a CH 1100 without a pet. Try your so beloved Pistol Whip but I prefer warm you : don't miss any Pistol Whip and start to numb your available moves left, cause with many resists and 10kHAM, mob hitting for 500 won't leave you many unsuccesful tries to spare.

If yoou are soloing and want to build up your skills a bit before trying to tackle something nasty. I highly recommend Feral Banthas(or any bantha type)on Tatooine. Sure they only give around 1k pistol per depending on how high your level is, but they tend to spawn in largenumbers out of lairs and are easy to drop(also non-social).

Moving into the riskier territory...Huurtons on Dantooine or Karimuths on Dathomir tend to make good upper level planet targets if you are solo or in a tiny group.

you are correct that irt reay sucks when it misses. however it is VERY useful in allowing non-medic me to kill more critters without haveing to sit for a few min. I use it on turtons to get XP its something thats non-social and i can kill even without using pistolwp on them but by knocking them down i can kill them and take almost no damge to my HAM allowing me to keep on killin Im not saying that i walk up to Dark jedis and use this expecting to live much.

I am a new novice Pistol man. I have heard about gaining XP from Pikets to Kaurmiaths on Dathomir. My question, what is the best way to gain XP for those of use who do NOT have CH skills?

Join a group, or fight mobs you can handle without a pet.

Or, use tactics, bleed, threaten shot, move of choice, warning shot or threaten shot...etc...

We were hunting on Dantooine the other night, and the rifleman in the group was soloing pickets while a bunch of us took afk breaks. He would keep moving and the picket got close to him a few times, but his threaten shotr and crowd control shots kept the beastie away from him long enough for him to finsih them off.

Good luck

If you are a lower level and like to solo I would recomend Torturs on Talus, big ass turtle/rhino things. A bull is at least 2.5k pistol xp, they are not group aggro and do not db. A lair and all it's spawns can net you over 15k in pistol xp. not bad for a critter you can just sit down next to and wait for the 10 min timer to run down after 2 incaps.
