I quit BH today to pick up pistoleer. As I write this, I still have BH pistol 2 for speed but when I lvl I can to surrender it. Anyway, I just got Stopping Shot. And HOLY S H I T !!!
This moves kicks ass. I am getting faster exp. Average is 1800 on scatter, and 1600 with my FWG5 and Dx2. So whats with your beef against BH? This move rocks. When I get lowblow, ,it will be even more sweet. Dam! I love this move. It kicks ass!!! Torso and Eye never did more than 999 (unless they are KD). So why complain. This is sheer raw damage that rules. And once BS3 is fixed, o yeah. This is gonna be sweet. So quit complaining. O no, eyeshot. While you spam eyeshot, i will fire 4 times and damage all ur pools. HAHAHAHA. I love every class (excpet the whining pistoleers)

BTW, i have no intention of staying at BH pistol 2, its just for speed until I get Stances 3.

Since you apparently didn't care about hunting bounties, it's clear you weren't cut out for being a Bounty Hunter.

Whether you're actually eager to be a Pistoleeror just want a move which everyone insists is powerful (and which I barely ever use), I don't know. But I can't say that you inspire my optimism.

I agree, SilentJay. I was once going to be a Master Bounty Hunter, but lack of comparable specials/defenses, and the extreme difficulty of the Investigation tree, forced me to begin dropping my skills. I have taken up Pistoleer in the last few days, and the only thing I can say is that Stopping Shot owns Eye shot or Torso shot any day. It does **edit** near twice as much damage as Torso/Eye shots.I can kill people in two hits with it.....which was never possible as a BH. Basically what I'm getting at is QUIT YOUR **edit**ING BITCHING. Your pistol specials are much better than a BHs. You cannot deny this, and if you try to, you are absolutely retarded. Sick of eye shot? Wear a goddamn helmet.

youre using a scatter. fwg5s on test right now cant use powerhandlers anymore so they suck. if you 2 shot someone with a dx2 using stopping shot ill personally apologize to every bh who i ever gave a 1 star for trolling.

Stopping shot is a strong move yes....But I would put torso shot on a comparable level.

Torso shot 3.1 ( I think on tests it was between 3.0-3.3) Damage multiplier. Effect Fire dot. Health pool only (spreads the bolts across the arms and chest which is nice for people who only wear chest armor)

Stopping shot 4.7 damage multiplier. No effect. Random pool.

Using comparable weapons lets say.....Two fw5's...Damage sliced and powered up...

100-292.....Now the average damage for both shots.

Stopping shot 345 damage random pool. Average (189 DPS to health pool assuming the weapon is fired once a second)

Torso shot 227 health pool only.

So, for stopping shot to be better then torso the pistoleer must be lucky. Other then that the two shots are pretty even IMO...You have nothing to complain about.....

Unfortunately you are a bit too excited about StoppingShot. StoppingShot is a 5.0 damage modifier/4.0 delay modifier random HAM attack. There are two reasons that it SEEMS good to you: First, because you have BH Pistol 2 and Stances 2, you have +67 speed (almost whata Master Pistoleer has). Second, you are just looking at the high damage numbers, without considering the delay or that it hits a random HAM pool.

The first thing you need to realize is that StoppingShot is slow. Let's assume, for the sake of argument that you're using a 1.4 speed pistol. (That's probably a lot faster than your Scatter or FWG5.) If that's the case, then you're firing StoppingShot every 1.848 seconds. You'll actually do much better than you realize using EyeShot, DoubleTap,or even BodyShot2 because you'll be firing those specials at or near the rate of once per second.

Secondly, StoppingShot is a random HAM special. That means that it hits Health only 55% of the time. For killing anything (human or mob) you're better off using a targeted HAM special. For example, let's compare StoppingShot with BodyShot2. You'll be able to fire BodyShot2 once per second with the 1.4 speed gun. That means you'll spit out around 78% of the damage of StoppingShot, at your speed. The difference is that all of that damage will hit health, instead of only 55%. You'll kill things faster with BodyShot2.

I hope this is helpful. Take a harder look at the numbers and you'll start to miss the stuff you surrendered when you finally give up those BH skills.

You all assume too much as to why I quit BH. I cannot stand being the same class for a long time. Was once a BH, Doc, carbineer (for 2 days) and CH. I change prof every month. From now til like mid december, gonna be a pistoleer/smuggler. Then i'll try TKA Commando. Game gets boring fast and changing proff. gives me time to do new stuff. Experience new classes.

Anyway, I am at the speed cap. All my pistols are under 1.7. Dont matter what gun I use. I just gave up BH, and most of markman and scout to free up skills. And you know what? I still fire Stopping Shot every second. Really. Its sweet. And the dx2 doesnt use much HAM. So thats nice. I love stopping shot. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! BH was a great class. I reached 10k-4-4-4. Fire KD/dizzy was good, but left my action weak ( i used an ee3) Its been a great ride. Though I miss my LLC. O well, pistoleer is my new class for a while. All i need is one more tree and 2 boxes. I am 0-3-3-4 thats pretty good in under 7 hours ^_^

I love it, fan is meh. When they fix BS3, I hope the complaining stops. Goodluck to all BH and Pistoleers out there. Both are great classes and should stop whining. (who cares about random, its a sweet shot!)

PS- I heard last ditch is even more powerful. Cant wait. Now all i have to do is unarmed.

People its very stupid idea to compare Bounty Hunters with pistoleers since most of the Bounty hunters Have pistoleer profession so they could get stopping shoot.
