I am working on Master Pistoleer. Currently 2/4/4/4.
I have been capping my XP out at each level and then training as many skills as possible.

Tonight I will strive to get the next cap which is 700k so I can get Pistol Grips 3 with 350k XP left over to put towards Pistol Grips 4. I will then be able to cap out at 900k.

I intend to start working on Unarmed 1-4 after I make Master Gunfighter so that I can go Smuggler.

My question is...once I have Pistol Grips 3 and then get 900k and train Pistol Grips 4 (Making me a master gunfighter)...I will have 450k XP "banked" towards all the Smuggler skills.

Can I add to this...?
Will I loose some xp...?

My goal would be to get Master Gunfighter and then earn around 800k and keep it "banked" until I get novice Smuggler, then learn dirty fighting 1-3 right away...

Any help would be appreciated. My fear is that I am going to get Pistol Grips 3...then earn 900k...pay 450k for Grips 4 and then it say "you have reached the max Pistol XP...you lose 400xp..."

Or something like that...

It should be banked...after i obtained novice BH I had enough pistol xp to immediatly qualify for the first 2 BH pistol lines and I only needed 20K pistol xp to get pistol III. So i spent some time on dant and quickly got that. So I assume that after to make master pistoleer any extra pistol xp should roll right into your next profession.

I sure hope so. Would hate to see it all go POOF.

Be careful, if you start surrendering lots of pistol skills before learning smuggler, that will lower the xp cap, and THAT could lower your xp. But if you're keeping Master Pistoleer, then no worries.

I'm not sure when it caps out, but I think it matters on what your highest skill is... I have Pistol Techniques IV, and my current cap is 900k pistol XP (enough to get to the third tier on one of the other pistol trees)... I'm not really helping much...

I'm capped at 900k too, and I'm a Master Pistoleer.

It's whatever your highest block XP is X 2... so 450k = 900k banked.. BUT if you surrender it, and then you use your weapon.. you'll get this bs:

dumping skills will lower the cap, but you will keep the same exp you had with it before you ditched that profession... kind of like i have 70k unarmed exp right now, but i ditched the brawler profession and decided to surrendur bh for pistoleer...
