With the current stats on the dx2 and the cost of krayts to enhance it... I think it would be rather a fair fix to leave the stats and just boost it to Ap2. There are no ap2 pistols, and this would make it unique from the scatter while not costing too much programming. I think as an ap2 weapon the dmg/delay is rather balanced.

That's one solution. Not a bad idea.
Though I still think the gun needs a complete rework. It's silly to have your elite weapon be so slow and inaccurate.

i could do without the ap... truthfully a handgun shouldnt have any ap.. that particular gun should be alot more damaging than it is...
sucks that we will soon be reduced to dl44's or scoutblasters to hunt with to fight with..

A desert eagle .50 can shoot a bulletthrough a car door. I'm sure a futuristic acid pistol can make its way through some decent armor.

Naw, *acid* pistol should have a higher wounding chance (DOT) as the acid eats away at the target.
If anything should have AP2, it should be the Striker Pistol.
