Thread: Excited for CU

dont panic about the low damage modifiers we get.. EVERYONE will have a place in combat.. there will be no uber stacker templates that will be perfect solo... We will have a place in PvP, and i for one and extremly excited.

well, said my boy, everyone is making to big a deal out of this, besides this will encourage group hunting whih i like to do a lot of, means not running back to a mission terminal every 2 missions, try every 20 missions (if your in abig group) plus i like killing rancs with grinders, and krayting with my buddies, i think it will be a lot of fun

I dunno, Rifles + TKM or Swords + TKM sounds like a pretty solid solo template.


Rifles + TKMgives you very strong damage, very strong defense and moderate crowd control.


We'll see what happens when it hits test center.

A Swordsman + Teras Kasi Artist will probably be good in melee, but very weak against ranged attackers (Assuming that build's range defense is weak with melee defense strong) .


A Rifleman + Teras Kasi Artist will probably be able tank well in melee, but will suffer from horrible accuracy. At a range, it will do very good damage, but will probably be very vulnerable to the range attacks of others.



But you're right, we shouldn't jump to conclusions until we see it for ourselves

Wind-Up

The windup phase is the time between when the user performs an action to begin a special move to when the move actually takes effect.



  • When using an action with a wind-up there will be the visual UI element, as well as particle effects and/or animation and sound effects to indicate the user is beginning a special action.



  • Not all actions have wind-up but those that do will be canceled if the player moves.

  • well this is not sounding good to me at all, I spend 95% of my combat time moving around. So I won't be able to use specials. Oh Joy. I sure hope these guys get this thing right. We've waited too long for them to disappoint, AGAIN. I'm glad to see all the peppy responses to the CU on the forums though. Keeps my "half-empty" glass looking "half-full" LOL

    I am getting very excited about this, I cant wait. I wonder what the stats will look like for dabblers. I am glad they said dabblers will still have a place, this is my plan. Master pistols/then since I dont know what teh skills are a mix of bh/smuggler/commando. I will be able to have 2 lines in 2 of them and 1 line in another. I am looking forward to it.

    I keep seeing everybody basing there templatats on the Defense: Offense: Crowd Control numbers. They are just numbers the devs have come up with to categorize the combat professions. Telling you what the profession will be like and what kind of skills its going to have in it. This if I add this plus this, ill have 8 defense and 4 offense, I think is the wrong way to look at the professions. Does anybody understand what i'm trying to say? I think the defense ,offense, crowd control numbers are justa guideline? Your still gonna have melee defense numbersand ranged defense numbersand all that good stuff, it's just not gonna say Defense: 3 in your character info lmao!

    To tell the truth no body knows what it is gonna be, no body that can tell us anyway. You are right 4 plus 4 does not mean you have an 8 for offense, as far as I know, but maybe we are both wrong lol, who knows what to expect.I am just looking forward to some good old, large scale battles.

    Yeah Actairr, were gonna be testing this bad boy out soon though , and at least see what skills the professions are gonna have, i'm a Bounty Hunter / I don't know what else yet myself. Might be MBH/MPistoleer after CU, just not sure what to expect
