ok yes i searched. and the consensus is: "every pistoleer special is broke" but i want a little bit more info.
ok for PistolMeleeDefense1: What should i expect the successrate to be when i first get it. will it ever go up? right now i was using it against squills and somtimes it would hit every time i used it, and othertimes i could spam it all i wanted, it would never KD.
also for PMD1: how badly does it hurt your weapon?
also for PMD1: ok this might be a bug, or a lag error, or a glitch. w/e. When i use the special it seems like it doesn't always notify me correctly. when i clearly dont knock down the beasty it give me the "you attack failed to kncok...." message, and other tiems i can see the animation of the pistol whipping, and the beasty falling over --good. BUT other times i'll get no message, normal battle animation of pistolwhip, but NO visible KD. very confused
for stopping shot: where does this rank in comparison to Health SHot 2? i dind't really notice much better damage, and it seemed alot more inaccurate. cound't really decide weather it was faster/slower
for double tap: where does this rank compared with Health Shot 2? it seemd alot less powered but (maybe) faster, again i coudln't decide. and i didn't notice any states or ne thing cool like bleed with HS2

Healthshot2/Fanshot/Stoppingshot are the only working ones I really use from pistoleer

In my experience PMD-1 works fine. I use it together with HealthShot 2 as my standard tactic against single targets. Usualy it works on most Mobs (some have higher KD resistance). If the target goes down it will take sometime til it works again.
Sometimes animations of actions are not shown, especially in laggy environments - so if u dont see the target go down after a PMD-1 attack and u dont get a failure message check the combat log. if its just a grafical lag prob u should get the doubled damage on your next attacks.
StoppingShot usualy does more damage then HealthShot 2 - but it will randomly select the targeted HAM bar. I usualy use StoppingShot for lairs or for critters that can be taken out be a single shot.
i didnt use DoubleTap since the time i learned StoppingShot.
So for me HealthShot2 + PMD-1 works best against single targets. FanShot is best against multiple targets (be very careful if u use it in dungeons like the Corvette, Geo Labs or the Warren - cone shot agro bug!).

I am agreed with c-mot. I am not a master pistoleer. But I have most of the special attacks. I tried all of them and saw:
-Fan Shot is good against more than one opponents
-Stopping Shotdoes the highest damage, but it shots randomly to HAM
-Health Shot 2 is the best I tried. Yes it actually has a lower damage rate than Stopping Shot, but it shots only Health pool. So it is very useful.
I didn't try Body Shot 3. Can you inform me about the damage of this special attack? Is it lower than the damage thatHealth Shot 2 does?
