Plus Riflemen and Carbineers have to deal with the same thing. As long as its equal right? And TK also requires a swords line in brawler (can't remember which.)

Can't remember the exact results of Uthyrs little poll a few weeks ago, but pretty much half of the pistoleers that participated had Pistoleer/BH. So I'd say that at least a considerable portion of pistoleers already have the branch anyway, and will recieve extra skill points from not having to master marksman for BH anymore...

well pistoleers are going to be a "crowd control" class... so it makes perfect sense.

I just so happen to have those poll results handy. 63% of the poll participants had Master Pistoleer + BH Pistols (Desperado). I for one was very happy to see the new prerequisites, because it is going to free up a lot of skill boxes for me!

Shin-Ryu, sorry but you are saying something ridiculous. You know there are basic skills and after getting these skills you can get to the hybrid professions. This is the skills system of SWG. Andyou say there shouldn't be any basic skills, right? Why don't you complain about the skill points then? Actually if you were complaining about this it won't help you either. Because everybody knows that developers don't want to create a "best combination of professions".

MrBomb, I never said not to have any basic skills to have a hybrid profession. I simply stated that I have to drop scout terrain negotiations for Marksman Ranged support tree...Come'on are you soo quick to judge that you actually misinterpret basic sentences now? Holy cow....I hopped around plenty between professions and found that the triple threat is what I liked best. I did BH/pistoleer and BH/Carbineer, I actually did them both for quite a while.. But now that I found my personal favorite template I must now drop them....Simply that....nothing more nothing less.. I was giving my fellow pistoleers a heads up and a post for discussion. I also concluded that since Pistoleer has gotten many broken specials with no specials that use states, I figured our profession could use some defending....lets face it, Pistoleer by itself is not nearly as powerfull as some other professions..But this is all irrelevant since the changes are for Combat rebalance and the devs might show us some love....

Quite simply, I will cease to be a Pistoleer the day this goes live. I don't have ANY free skill points, never mind enough to buy an entire tree. The only upside is that AP is going away, so having AP pistols will no longer be an all-important consideration.

While its a higher skill cost it's not like it does not make sense to need range support and as someone else mentioned all ranged professions will now require this.

And as all ranged proffesions require it there will be more options availible for stacking ranged proffesions than there will be with melee. The melee pre reqs pretty much exclude taking any pikeman skills to aid your combat skills unless you have mastered brawler or are a TK.

No matter which profession you choose you will have to take 2 lines in a novice tree, so quitting pistoleer you will have to take 2 trees to become some other profession...
