Thread: Master Pistoleer who agrees with FWG5 nerf...sort of...
Howdy. I've been a master since the first month so hopefully that gives me a pinch of credibility. Here are some thoughts I've had everyone can pick apart:

#1 FWG5 is the most powerful pistoleer weapon (right?)
#2 It doesn take a high level/master pistoleer to such a gun.
#3 If they fix our master skills + add new pistoleer only gun, FWG5 'nerf' seems fair.

The reason that theFWG5 is the most powerful Pistoleer weapon is because the DX2 is broken. The only pistols that require more skills than the FWG5 are the Scatter Pistol, Launcher Pistol, and DX2. The Scatter and Launcher are better than the FWG5, generally. The DX2 is not, which is the reason that non-BH and non-Commando folks are using FWG5s.
I don't think there is any reason to nerf the FWG5 right now, that I can see. Sure, if they fix the DX2 and the rest of our profession, I don't think anyone will notice a FWG5 nerf. But I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for the Devs to fix us, because they haven't done much so far. In the meantime, we don't want the best remaining weapon that pure Pistoleers have to be nerfed.
They look at the raw numbers and see that there are lots of pistoleers therefore we need to be nerfed not fixed.

I know. The reason we have so many "Novice Pistoleers" and so few Masters is because the Novice box supplements so many other professions (Smuggler, BH, Commando). We're the most dabbled profession, by far.
The solution to that problem is to create skills that are useful for Pistoleers but don't become greatly overpowered when another profession is added, not to nerf weapons that are mostly used by pure Pistoleers.

Health Shot 2 and Pistol Whip have brought in a lot of novice pistoleers to be sure. They need to fix pretty much every other shot in the profession before it is going to be worthwhile to master. Just my 2 creds...
as a pistoleer i also agree in a sense that the krayt fwg should in fact be nerfed to a point. I mean really a pistol should be much faster than any other gun in the game however pistols truly should not be higher in damage. I know this is not real life, but think about it if you were in a war in real life would you expect to do more damage with a pistol or a rifle.
secondly i agree that before nerfing something they should really fix some things with our profession such as bodyshot 3 (worthless), disarmshot (should actually disarm), and pistolwhip 2.
I also do not feel that a BH should have a higher pistol speed than a master pistoleer. BH should be about status shots. IE knockdowns, blind, dizzy, things such as that. BHs truthfully do not master any weapons they really only master tactics. Therefore, they should really have a lower speed in pistol than us.

What makes you think they are going to add a cert to this profession?
How can you support a change on something no DEV has mentioned?

I also think the "nerf" is a "fix" and already stated it many times.
Yes they only look at raw numbers and that's what they should do. Resists aren't relevant nor should be AP BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT there should be a counter part for this, like the speed for example.
Yeah, it's a dead horse now and I really doubt speed will be changed some day but how can ppl still want our gun to do less dmg with less AP while they all shot at the same rate ? Where is balance ?
So let's nerf the FWG5 but for the love of "place the name of the wasting time religion you prefer's deity" FIX THE SPEED TOO !
Like someone else stated above, I think it should be fixed but I'm starting to be a bit upset all "fixes" come ALWAYS as nerf before we actually get our needed enhancements or fix. Why don't they first fix speed, DX2 and moves and THEN, fix the FWG5 ?

Well, you're just as likely to die from being shot by either a rifle or a pistol. It's not about damage, persay. But you are more likely to hit someone with a rifle than a pistol. So lets just nerf pistol accuracy, instead of damage.

The gun is not the problem.
It's the ridiculous drops.
I mean come the f*ck on +150 krayt tissues...
