Everybody wants to model the BH class on Jango Fett, a unique BH who was so superior that his DNA was used for the perfect soldier (DNA that clearly implied more then 250 skill points given lol). Funny though, I never sawa BHWANT to take ona Jedi(Jedi hunting is something ingame BH's feel they are designed for). I tend to remember Jango telling Boba to pack your stuff, we're getting out of Dodge after meeting Obiwan. Seems to me they tend to just try to stay alive like the rest of us when facing a Jedi.
BH's are assassins. Real life BHs are what happens when fat kids fail their civil service exams.Assassins in RPGs always fall under a rogue like class - meaning less powerful straight on then a full blown melee class, yet deadly in surprise/ first strike encounters. That's pretty much how they are and should be viewed in SWG. Did that changling BH try to fight Obiwan? Nope, she tried to sneak up and shoot him in the back. Did Greedo challange Han to a duel? Nope, he got the drop on him.
One must remember that the alure of power regarding a SW BH stems from getting a mysterious toy in the mail with 4 proofs of purcheses. He had cool armor, remained faceless, and had no backstory. The imagination made him many things for three yrs. Three yrs of argueing with friends over what all thosedo-dads on his armor did. Three yrs of trying to get that missle out of his back because youheard that it was supposed to shoot. SW Holiday Special cartoon aside, it was 6 yrs before we got to see 30 secs of rope shooting, jetpack failing, sarlac pit falling action. Remember, Luke was still just a padawan.
So for like 15+ yrs we areexposed toSW stories regarding every aspect of every movie detail having some grand importance, from Sny Snootles to Han's pants design being a secret Corellian badge of honor. So now BH's are the badest of the bad, eh? Read a few too many Boba stories? I bet there's more with a pistoleer character wooping butt and more still of Jedi taking names. Understand what the class is designed for and the feeling that it deserves to beat every other profession should fade.
BTW, Jango did real well against Mace didn't he? (though he did get off a nice Stopping Shot on that charging pit monster!)

How about taking one of the other bounty hunters from the movies. Lets take Greedo for example. Now i know in the lore things were changed in that they made Greedo shoot first. But either way Greedo was a bounty hunter and got owned by a smuggler/engineer/pilot in Han Solo. More food for thought when making the comparisons.

Dont make generic uninformed generalizations. Most BHs want our profession fixed. Your Greedo example is just as invalid as their Jango/Boba example.
