I suspect the BIGGEST thing the Master Pistoleer is missing is speed. (We should be +80 pistol speed at Master Pistoleer as opposed to +74).
Anyhow...
Why did you decide to take the Bounty Hunter pistol's line?

1. Specials that are useful, damaging, and work
2. Outrageous Pistol Speed
The scatter pistol is awesome (I miss mine) as well as Eye Shot and Torso.
All good points, and I agree... was wondering Philosopher's point of view as well.

Well everyone on this thread has summed things up pretty well.
Almost all of the Pistoleer specials are broken or useless, while the BH Pistol line has two specials that are really amazing (TorsoShot and EyeShot). Either of those two specials are better than anything we have in our tree by a long shot.
As one of you pointed out,since I took the BH line I have access to the Scatter Pistol, which is by far the best pistol in the game. I'm never stuck using a FWG5, Scout, or (yuk) DX2. Everyone on this forum knows that the DX2 is a joke.
And as someone else mentioned, I have hit the speed cap and can fire any special with any pistol at the rate of once per second.
The truly sad thing is that I could get all of the same benefits by dropping everything in Pistoleer other than Stances 2. Isn't that something? The only thing I'd lose is some accuracy, but I'd still be at +115 Pistol Accuracy, which is +20 better than Master Pistoleer on its own. The best pistol template, which adds Smuggler Dirty Fighting to that mix, has only one box of Pistoleer above Novice. Isn't it sad that Pistoleer isn't even the right choice for people who want to be good with a pistol? I think so.
I just hope that we get Pistoleer fixed some time soon, so folks like me aren't the only ones able to have specials and weapons that work.
A PvPer looking for a 'pure' pistol template would go: BH 0/0/4/0, Smug 0/0/4/0, Pistoleer 0/2/0/3. This template uses 250pts.
Stats: Pistol Spd 103, Pistol Accuracy 130, Pistol Accuracy while moving +10, Melee Defense 10. Able to shoot ANY pistol shot including Last Ditch or Eye shot every 1 second regardless of pistol used. Even if the pistol had a speed of 2.4, the user can fire Last Ditch at every second.
This is what dabblers do. They take the best from each profession, and they can do it easily.
