I have been running some damage tests with my various pistols over the last week or so, and I am continuosly being shocked to find that these pistols like the Ion Stunner and Featherweight FWG5 are failing to compete with my dinky Krayt DX2.
I've been scoring body shots of 1.2k with this DX2. I know DPS means nothing, but the actual damage stat alone is low compared to the above mentioned, however, with an Accuracy modifier of 17, it is getting serious rolls.
Has anyone else noticed that the accuracy modifier appears to equate to high damage increases, when put in perspective to other high end pistols.
Even that Boba Fett pistol, the KD21 or something similar to that name, is scoring comparable to the UR-G8.

if you accuracy exceeds the defense of the target it does bonus damage
if you accuracy is less then the defense of the target you lose damage
your probably at the edge of accuracy being greater then most targets and therefore the little bit more you gain from the pistol is pushing your damage up into the next bracket.

Plus the higher your accuracy the closer you do to the max damage of your weapon. I believe 250 accuracy is around where you will alwayshit forthe max damage (except as modified by the targets defence of course).

Correction: there is no damage bonus per se. When accuracy is higher than target's defense, the damage range of your gun expands (effectively doingdamagecloser to max damage). The higher the defense of your target compared to your accuracy, the further your weapon's damage range shrinks (doing damage closer to min damage).
