All depends on how we recover from the upcoming hurricane. If you go to www.noaa.gov and check out the latest track, I live exactly where the thing is predicted to hit Florida. We just got hit 9 months ago, and this area isn't ready for another strike. It's going to suck majorly for awhile afterwards.


Personally, I'm leaving after lunch today (I'd be gone already, but we have a meeting at work) so myself and my cats will be safe. I don't know about my house though. It made it through the last one, but there were times I thought rafters were getting ready to snap.


Hopefully, I'll come home to an intact house, and I'll have power back by next weekend.


Figured some of you would wanna know since you'd be thinking "where the hell is Nifty???" before too long.

Got home today from my "vacation" and the house is fine, and even more exciting was that power had already been restored to my area. The center of the hurricane probably passed 10-15 miles to the east of my house, by the way. It went directly over my mom's house (no power there yet, but everything else is ok there.)


So everything went just fine here, other than the drive down and drive back with two unhappy cats.
