A buddy of mine (MP/MBH) and myself (no armor on) tested out 3 pistols (all stats are est. not moded stats and all unpuped unsliced)
1) Reb Blaster
energy
1.96 speed
439-950 dmg
acc. bonus 0
est. dps. 354
sac 84
2) Reb Blaster
energy
1.8 speed
472-888 dmg
acid dmg 48
acc. bonus 0
est. dps. 404
sac 84
3) Scatter Pistol
kinetic
2.06 speed
345-948 dmg
acc. bonus 17
est. dps 313
sac 71
He shot both basic and specials at me and every time no matter what#2 pistl always hit for more dmg.Now granted#3's sac and pistol acc. bonus mean a lot. But if dps. doesnt mean much and max dmg means morehow could # 2 hit for higher then # 3....in fact # 1 hit for higher than # 3 also.
Does the min dmg mean more thenmax dmg or is elementaldmg that much more....any opinions would be appreciated.

If we were only comparing only #2 and #3 I would have agreed with you. Although #2 was always the highest dmg, #1 always beat #3 with no elemental. Although this was just one test, it seems to suggest that when people are buying a pistol they should be putting more thought into min dmg than max dmg.

LOL.....no mp/mcm Pistol#2 is mine and we were comparing dmg. We were quite surprised with these results.

Badger,
If you doubt the results, i would be willing to have you repeat the results with my pistol and any one of yours with higher max dmg and lower min dmg.
