Sorry to say, but combat proffs are not money makers. The best way to make creds if you are going to go 100% combat, loot from tier 4-5 ships in space. get 1k per level for loot components from chasis dealers. if you empty out you ionventory before you go, and spend a few hours in a couple choice locations, you can make good creds that way, but still not near as much if you are a crafter...............

You will need about 50 mil to properly equip yourself though
some words of adavice. wear an imp psg, that +10 gen ranged accuracy is worth about 4 mil in tapes. wear a +16/16 defense bio enhanced shirt, again, it save you about 8 mil in tapes. Feitherwight FWG5's ahve a pistol accuracy built in of +15, saves you about 5 mil in tapes. start hunting gorax, and get bones at least +160 damage, -.4 speed. Get a Feitherweight FWG5 made with pre cu omponents, by a 12 point Force sensitive crafter. have him make the max damage of 865. have him put the rest in sac cost. if he maxes out sac, rest in speed. It is important that you do NOT go over 865 max on assembly. now take the weapon an have it level 3 damage sliced, and level 1 speed sliced. slap an adk on this. find a 14 point artisan and hav him make you some damage pupps that don't incease speed by over 4%. That is your weapon. If you have to buy all that on the open market on valcyn, you have just spent around 12.5 mil. (10 mil for adk, 1.5 mil for bones, 500k for assembly using pre cu parts, and the limited use schem, 500k for the slice, if you can find a smuggler with an illigel core booster.
now, you have a choice here, I personaly go with battle armor agianst jedi, there are powers jedi out there, and if you attack them using recon, you are mincemeat, becuase powers are kinetic damage. the protection level between 6500 battle primus layered battle and 8200 recon isn't that much anyway. get all your armor sliced level 3 anti armor break. that's a very pretty penny. when you can afford it, I recomend collecting 7 anti decay kits, and pre cu health bonus dragon scales. ask you armorsmith i they have fixed the health bonus stuff yet, and if they have, get a set of armor made with that. that will raise you max health by 350 points. anti decay that armor, dragon scales wer considered worthless pre cu, and very few people kept them, so they are in very limited supply.
yes you can make money as a pistoleer, it just takes a huge start up cost man.

remember payouts change with this next publish
payout will show around 50k for all jedi
when you beat the jedithe contractee (ie: the empire) will give you a bonus of 0 to 150k depending on level of jedi and a number of factors. ^_^ have fun
