So i ask please take a look at redoing the combat skills so that other porfessions can be of use to the other and make them kinda even so people that like a skill can be able to hold there own against other strong professions and try to make it all off tastics of the player not all what skills are the strongest.
I don't see the downside to tka yet. I'm currently working towards amaster tka/pistoleer, df and spices, and some medic template. I'm currently 3 boxes in on both pistoleer and tka so I by no means have any idea what the professions turn out to be. Getting to novice tka is alot more work then novice pistoleer but after hitting novice it all changes. I'm leveling tka so much faster then pistoleer right now. I do more dmg each hit and hit more often then i do with any of my pistols. I spent most of last week doing stormtropper faction missions with a master ch/fencer(who does way to much dmg). Using a pistol I would sometimes get 1k xp but most of the time it was around 600xp while if I was using my vibroknuckle 1k was the lowest amount of xp I would get.
I've also done better in the few PvP fights I've been in with tka then pistol. But it probably had alot to do with the armor my opponets were wearing. Though being able to shot at people from range has helped alot with kiters and actually making people not kite since they aren't expecting the change to tka once I get up to them.
Oh and I hate tka/rifle characters with a passion.

You are making your point as a combo combatant from the beginning. Try attacking a ranged opponet as a Teras Kasi artist ONLY. See what you think then.You have the ability to counter a kiting combatant with your own ranged attack via pistol. Teras Kasi has no counter to ranged attack. None. That is the weakness of Teras Kasi. Even at Master.
I am Master Teras Kasi and now picking up Master Pistoleer/Master Smugglar to provide myself the same kind of combo attack/ defences that you are speaking of. With a ranged and melee mastery I will have melee and ranged mitigation 3, and greater dodge abitity.
SWG combat is all about the dabbling baby.
I am currently a master TKA ,amongst other things, and I believe them to be overpowered, even with the lack of damage types and ham costs.
Of course Pistoleer was my first combat mastery so everything seems overpowered after that.
No nerf is a good nerf. We need to be built up, not tear anyone else down.
Bur if he is buffed just stop and let him kill you, your just delaying the envitable by running.
