Thread: Kraty enhanced DX-2's?
I have one that one of my guild leaders made for me for free, its pretty decent as far as damage goes but certainly not "the best" krayt dxw ever.
The problem with the krayt dx2 is in the end, its still a dx2, and even one with a scope, and experimented for accuracy, is still a horribly innacurate gun. As a master pistoleer its just really sad that in the end our suppossed elite gun is so awful.
So in the end, buying one, or having one made is a questions of essentails.
A)do you have the credits to reasably spend on a 5 tissue weapon?
B)Is it worth it to you to spend X ammount on said weapon?
IF you can afford it, but often find yourself in situations where you cant take a risk to get within its ideal range, which is pretty much exactly where ever melee player on earth wants you to be, its not worth the price in my opinion. Buy a nice set of armor instead, it will run you about the same if the weaponsmith isnt cutting you a deal. However if you do have some melee skills, like I do, then look into it, as it can be a life savor occasionally.
However, if you have a weaponsmith thats willing to cut you a very nice deal on that gun, I would get it, because it never hurts to have a decently damaging gun in your toolbar for those situations where it helps to put a hurt on someone. Evenif that hurt also hurts you as you waste ham missing CONSTANTLY.
*prays that the new stun gun has powerhandlers*
On radiant your going to pay through the nose for one of these, 500k easy. It's not worth it considering you will usually use the DX2 only on stuff that is vulnerable to acid anyway. I use a 102-160 speed sliced down to 2.0 DX2 on vulnerable mobs (like Rancors) and it just eats them up anyway.
The DX2 IS a good gun, despite the accuracy, but it is somewhat situational. I wouldn't spend too much on any weapon. Krayt guns just cost to much to use frequently (I can get a gun under 50% durability in just a few hours). Repair kits are better than they were, but I feel it's too much of a rip off to spend quarter to half a million on a gun just to have it destroyed by fate after 5 hours of use.

Or not....we just have to wait and see.
**edit** Dayraak, I really did think I had it bad... =)
I think the whole idea of a pure player economy was a bad one from the start. I won't even pretend to be smart enough to know how to fix it though.
