Thread: SAC, PVP weapons and more

I recently started playing Galaxies again (been playing 2 weeks again now), I respeced to my favourite template before the CU which is Master Bounty Hunter, Master Pistoleer and I added a bit CM to it for healing (3000).
I've read the stickied topics above and I understand more about the role of a pistoleer in the CU but I still have a lot of questions.
1) I participate a lot in PVP battles and I've read that kinetic weapons are better versus players. Is this true? Which pistol should I use for PVP then?
2) I have a few pistols but all of them have a higher SAC then 80. I tried searching for weapons with a lower SAC but it seems like all expensive pistols have a higher SAC. Is SAC really that important? Or is damage, speed more important for a pistol?
3) I was also planning to make a nice DE 10 pistol before I cancelled my subscribtion. It seems like the DE 10 is not as powerfull as it was. I have a yellow barrel and I could get a schematic and some krayt tissues if I invest 1.5 mil in it. Is this worth it? Or are there other weapons like the FWG who are a better investment?
4) I'm also wondering how I can see how much resist a creature has against a type of damage. Is this still possible or did they take out this whole protection thing?
5) What should I slice on my pistol? Always Damage, speed or something else? And Ive heared that you can do multiple slices can anyone clarify this?

although the insanely high dam and dps looks nice no sac equals no dps, you are lookin for at least something under 80(80 is the highest you should really go). SAC is integral

Or are there other weapons like the FWG who are a better investment?I say go for it, the de-10 is far from the greatest pistol but its still a prestige type thing (like ris) but you will want to get a hold of a fw fwg5,dl44xt, and a scatter

Is this still possible or did they take out this whole protection thing?To be honest i dont know if the resist are still there maybe someone else can answer that, i suppose its may be possible for a ranger to see but i dont know for sure

The Featherweight FWG5 is the best pistol and is Kinetic, energy weapons are effected by PSG's.

SAC is very important. You may have to get a weaponsmith to craft you a 65 SAC FW FWG5, get some gorax shards for it.

The DE-10 is currently not worth crafting, go for a nice cheap Krayted DL44XT instead.

This is a bug.

It depends on how the gun comes out, you can slice for damage, speed and/or critical shot chance. If the gun is crafted with around 880 max damage then a lvl 3 slice will take it to the damage cap for slicing. Then you can add a speed and critical slice as well.

I think alot of pistols will max out at 916 damage with slices, rather than th 948 that is their supposed crafting cap, this definately happened with my alliance disrupter.
