Thread: What are your duel tactics?

I fought a heavy cleaver the other day. He challenged me, so right away I had the advantage. The person who gets to accept the duel should always be able to click fast enough to accept and get the first sp attack in. So I simultaniously accepted and pistol whipped him. Next i burst run then spammed fan shot as i created a huge amount of distance between us because of my speed advantage. By the time he got near me he was almost dead, a few seconds later incapped.

Whats your strategy?

Dont use fan shot. Stopping shot is better.

My strategy is usually let the other person have first shot... after they hit me, i use panic shot, intimidate, eyeshot, last ditch, lowblow, then shoot at whichever pool is weakest.

I usually try to use some of my Specials, realise they're broken and people can do more damage with their fists, then I get Dizzy/KDed and incapped.

So I usually fight with my TKM Skills.

As a pure Pistoleer I generally open up with Pistol Whip also, and start running. But I don't duel BH/PIstols or Riflemen because there's simply no point whatsoever (unless that BH doesn't have medic, in which case I might win) since they'll just spam headshots until they win.

If I have range I will /rollshot or /diveshot for a couple seconds to capitalize on the increased accuracy bonuses, then kipupshot if the person gets too close and proceed to run again. Might try to land another Pistol whip. I will usually Healthshot2/bodyshot2/3 my opponent, and interchange Fanshots and Stoppingshot, depending on the amount of armor my opponent has. Since our speed sucks, I can't spam Stoppingshot at the cap so it's an attack I use only once in a while. If I'm fighting a ranged opponent, I will sometimes put some /Aim's in there before a Stoppingshot, and then line up 3 of those to capitalize on the increased to-hit bonus.

Also I generally duel with but a helmet. I'm seriously tired of everyone in Composite. I'm going to get some more Padded.

lowblow/panic shot, then eyeshot/lastditch.

I know, its sad. pistoleer doesnt have shots as good as ppl who dont use a full 93 points on it.

I am master pistoleer btw, but sadly, just for mods.

I am unfortunately just like you. I have master pistoleer only for the mods. But it must be so if we are to survive in PvP
