get more xp by getting a low level pet. i started on rori doing torton missions till i got strong enough to go to dantooine, did hurton and pikets, till i got stronger and went to dathomir and did exclusively baz nitches missions.

I can tell you what i did, whether it is the best way to do it or not, i have no idea.

I went to dantooine with buffs and a good set of kinetic ubese. I did quenker/savage quenker missions from my player city. Good xp, decent money.

I mastered pistoleer in 3-4 days. Also, i broke 1 million credits for the first time from those missions, even though i went through 2 pistols decaying so much from usage and 3 sets of ubese for the same thing.

I have two good, and fun, ways to get pistol xp.

1. Tusken Fort. It's fun...and it gives ya great xp

2. Mamien lairs on Yavin 4. Don't even worry about the missions...just go out and waste a bunch of them. They're pretty easy...don't DB...and there are tons of them all over the place.

Good luck bro

Torturs on Talus. Slow, no DB, low resists. 15k xp per mission. Use a grenade for combat xp on the little ones.

I maxed pistol xp at 900k and my combat xp is in the 200k range.

I second this idea. I did it with my good composit. Open with Bleeds (stack them). Then close for a combo of KD and pointblank2 pointblank2 and healdamage self.

I toss in a few Bodyshot2 or 3s. I clear about 150K of exp an hour (and about 200K in credits).

There are more safe ways to master pistoleer but since your looking for the fastest way. Acquire Fan shot as fast as possible. May try doing some of the missions already suggested above. Once you have fan shot, go to dantooine and find a big group. Go out on missions and if you don't have medic skills....eat some chef food that boost strength, Quickness and Focus (these will reduce the cost of your specials). Get doc buffs if you want, they are even better.

Now you can just stand back while the other players pets or your own get arggo and unload fanshot. You will get massive xp even if you don't do a lot of damage per fan shot. You are simply hitting everything in your line of site (cone area) really fast. you can get 10x the shots off than a master commando can get2 flame cones off. So your damage will add up.

Golden rule when using fan shot in a group: Don't hit the lair after creatures are already out (especially voritor hunters). There's nothing more disliked in a group than a whole lair of poison voritors slowly slaying your group.

Anyway, getting the xp for fanshot will still take some time....but once you get it....the rest of the xp comes extremely fast. depending on how much time you play per day will determine how fast you level up. You can potentailly do it in 2-3 days, maybe shorter if you find groups of 15 or more which basically means more missions and higher level missions per outing.

Do quenkers for the fanshot tree. then make a macro.../fanshot;/macro NAME OF MACRO; then do that macro on the lair..make sure u have doc buffs and chef foods. quenkers then in a solo group on dant will give around 60k exp per mission finishing every 5 mins.which is more than 200k per hour...

The new and improved squill cave is actually decent now. But be careful of fanshot in there.

Im just about to make Novice Pistoleer and after being a TKM for months I have maxed 300K Combat XP so I can immediately (after training of course) goto 0-0-0-3. Will the extra +18 Pistol Speed (I think it was) on top of theNovice bonushelp to improve my chances of mastering quicker?

Yes..more speed = faster kills = faster xp

I hunted in the squill caves until I got fan shot. The spawn rate was nice back then and it was never crowded like Fort Tusken. With a good set of comp armor and buffs, you won't have any problem taking on a bunch of them at once. Just keep on killing the whole time you are down there enjoying the xp....it won't make you rich, but it will give you some nice xp.

Additionally, after you get to 0-0-4-x, go for a couple of boxes in accuracy if not all 4, I went up the entire accuracy line after I got fan shot...it is amazing to see the difference that the accuracy give you to killing mobs.
