and when he drops I turn to the lair and start hitting it with Healthshot 2 as well.

Well, as I'm watching the combat window scroll out damage I can't believe my eyes!:

"you hit a huurton lair for 4966 points of damage"
"you hit a huurton lair for 5876 points of damage"
"you hit a huurton lair for 5302 points of damage"
"you hit a huurton lair for 5688 points of damage"

HOLY HIT POINTS BATMAN!!!
How did that happen? And can I do it again?!?

I was using a pre-nerf FWG5 with a speed of 1.2 and dam around 105/249 or something like that.

I didn't run across anymore lairs last night, mostly cause I was too busy trying to earn money for a skill tape instead of leveling the Dirty Fighting line like I should have been doing.

My sheet looks like this:
Master Swordsman
Smuggler 0 4 3 1
Medic 0 0 4 0
Pistoleer 0 0 0 3

any thoughts?

In my experience, this sometimes happens when mobs start healing their lair. It's as if the devs had their nice day and thought "Oh well, he killed all them critters, lets not annoy him and let him just finish this lair off right now".

I have had this happen with my launcher pistol also using Torso Shot on the lair , which shouldnt do damage ... but does.

After the first few weeks when SWG came out, the devs buffed up the hit pointsof lairs. To counter the obscene time it would take to chip through the massive amounts of hit points, a lair is eventually marked "empty" once it has spawneda certain number of creatures. Once this happens you will do the mega damage to the lairs. Sometimes creatures will continue to spawn even after this though, especially if they've healed the lair.

I've only seen this happen with lairs that spawn on their own, ie never seen it happen on a mission lair.
