I'm finally about to give up on CH and use those points on something actually useful. I have been trying to wait till the rebalance before changing classes because I still somewhat enjoy CH and was hoping they would fix the CH class, but who knows how long that will be. Right now CH is just a waste of points.

Here is my current template:

Master Pistoleer

4/4/1/1 CH

0/2/0/3 TKA

Novice Medic

I am thinking about this template for better defense. With good defenses, I shouldn't need a pet anymore for pve. Pets are worthless in pvp, so no loss there.

Master Pistoleer

4/0/4/0 Fencer

0/3/0/4 TKA

4/2/3/0 Medic

Any thoughts?

i feel your pain on CH. i was 2/2/2/3 CH and let it go, I love having cool pets but as you said they do nothing for pvp.

ok for your second template which i think is better:

medic 2/3/4/0 would be better, you have enough First aid to stop bleeding, diagnostics 3 helps healing, and pharm IV gives you stim d's.

and as for better defenses I would say no tka just go master fencer/master pistoleer.

Will Master Fencer really give better defenses then both defense lines from both TKA and Fencer? I would think that 4 defense lines (2 for each class) would combine for better defense then Master Fencer, since 2 of the Fencer lines are offensive.

yeah the fencer & tka mix probably would be good, I was a master fencer/master pistoleer at one time and I am partial to it. I could stand 50m from a master rifleman and he would miss me 5 out of 10 shots.

I am certain about the medic skills though!!
