what s the difference between these attacks?
so far the difference i ve noticed:
lowblow works at any distance while melee def only when point blank
lowblow does significantly less damage than melee def 1
is it worth to ahve them both on the toolbar or just lowblow is ok?

I believe they are also on different timers. This means you could use one, beat some ass while target is down, and then KD them again with the other. I need to do some testing on this, but it does seem that they are on different timers.

low blow will hit, in PvP, almost never. melee defense 1 is only good at p blank. as a pistoleer i always fight at medium range (kiting a fencer is very amusing 
they are so easy to kill with a good pistol hehe) so i have neither in my PvP toolbar . In PvE however they are both extremely usefull and i would recommend having both in your toolbar.
