What would be a good side melee skill to complimete Pistol?

.. and along the same lines.. Do you need another melee skill when you're a pistoleer? I see that it allows you to shoot on the run and it has the point blank shots...

well.... i think that a melee skill wouldn't be bad. because even with point blank shot you may need to just bludgeonor skewer someone at some point... i dunno, just my opinion. i don't really know what variety of melee weapon i would choose though.
