Thread: pistol melee def 2 ? as good as 1?

So is this as good as the 1st? i know bs3 is worse than bs2 in pure DPS. Is this pistol melee defense 2 an upgrade or no?

Pistol melee defense 2 does more damage then Pistol Melee defense 1, but it is not a knockdown attack... so that seems to defeat it's purpose to me, unless you want to knock something down with Pistol whip and then use melee defense 2 to club it until it stands up again.

I've done some testing with pmd1 and pmd2


They seem to do the base type damage for the weapon ie: scout=energy fwg5=heat instead of kinetic.
Unless I'm sadly mistaken PMD2 is only good for wearing your weapon out quickly.
