Question:

Can a master pistoleer with no other combad affecting skills (i.e. no CH, medic, feign death) take out a FS NPC by himself?

As I drive torwards master pistoleer I'm just curious as to if it is worth it.

Yes u can.

It will take armor of about, 80% to energy.U must bleed em and use a couple KD's to do it. U will also need a Rep Blaster to negate a fraction of the armor to maximise your damage out put. Keep the helmet on and eat some good stim B's(420+QL)... make sure u have some good drugs too. I usually juice a pixie or muon right before I wade in.

I cannot stress the armor enough... U can get layered comp to be 80% on any one stat and 50% on the rest excluding stun.... I keep diff. sets...I have 80% kinetic that I wear against TKA's in pvp.... makes em cry. With such a high resist, u can take hits from a pack of hurton stalkers and not be touched.

It depends on which FS NPC.

When I am buffed by a dr, and with a Muon Gold (Since I am a Zab and have low mind) I can solo 3 Untrained Wielders of the Dark Side, without my pets.

The key for me is my Krayt FWG5 with a 32% Max Damage Powerup on it.

I can spam BodyShot III every second and do major damage to them.

Now the Force Crystal Hunters are a diff story...with the medium armor you need to be able to use either a DX2 or Republic Blaster....and ever buffed they can 2 hit incap you.

So to answer your question with the right tools yes you can.

I might be able to take 1 Untrained Wielder myself withoutbuffs, if I take a Muon Before, but without that its not gonna happen.

I've tried everything I can think of, including saving out the page, and replacing the image sources to be the same as his, and I still can't get my avatar to use that, lol.

Nice tactics. I will look in to the armor. I don't usually get it since the decay is a bummer but if I can work over some creatures on Dantooine, I am going to have to pick some up.

I've taken down a couple FS NPCs, but it's hairy. I need to buff and have good stims available. If the FS guy is ranged, it's really dodgy. Get in the bleeds and try to kite them out of range. If it's a melee FS guy, bleed, suppression fire, and keep your distance.

They can one-hit me if I don't buff and don't have my padded armor, so there is little room for error. I will see if I can get some Energy and/or Kinetic Ubese... Composite has too high an encumberance for me.

Sorry guys. The honest truth is I don't remember how I got the avatar. I followed the directions of someone else in a post on howto set it up a long time ago, like april or so. I've forgotten where it was and can't find it again even though I've spent hours looking. I've already received dozens of PMs on it.

I vaguely remember it wasn't necessarily a SWG avatar (note that it is Rasputin, not the Emperor), but perhaps one at a SOE level. I've looked there but seen nothing like it now. I think they have removed the option to set it up but never deleted the image.

yes as a Pistoleer you can take down a FS NPC it will be long and painfull but you can do it....

go to the max range of your weapon and fire a single health shot either 1 or 2 then turn and run like a little girl untill FS stops chasing you, then do the health shot again...do this untill the maxed amount of bleed is on FS and he gets down to minimum health then rush in and slaughter him.

or if you have med skills you may not need to run as often

Personnaly I'm a CH almost a master at it too I would strongly recommend you get a secondary like CH to compliment your skills. with my pet and my weapon I can solo several FS.

I am a zabrak master doc/pistoleer with composite of about 85 to 89% and I was fighting 4 Dark side savages at the same time and only had to heal once and use equilibrium because I didn't use a muon gold. I can take 2 dark side savages at the same time without healing myself till they're dead. I can also take on a force crystal hunter without needing to heal nor equilibrium.

The key is the great armor and the buffs. The buffs make sure that your health and action (and when using mindfood mind) regenerate almost as fast as they damage you.
