Hey,

I'm a pistoleer 0031 currently and I am getting a bit tired of doing missions and such. I also am trained in creature handling to use my pet as a tank. But as I said I am pretty tired of doing missions and running around and stuff and would like to find an area with a static spawn or good leveling areas in general. Im not that concerned about money and such but would like to ask if anyone knows any coords to good leveling areas? I heard something about squills(sp) or something that sounded like that which are good to level off of as a pistoleer

Let me kno

Thx

I've been killing Tortor Bulls on Talus, if you find a lair you can pull them one at a time and kill them for around 3000 xp per kill. They have good meat(954OQ/800PE) which I sell for 15cpu to a guy on Naritus and I get around 45-55u per kill. It takes about 2 minutes to kill each one by going Health Shot2/Health Shot1/and then Body Shot 2ing them to death. The are slow and are pretty easy to kite even w/o a pet, as long as you properly pull them. They are pretty commonaround Central Talus. They aren't aggro and don't DB, so they aren't much danger.

If you look down the page at my "Grinding Pistoleer" thread some people posted usefull suggestions. Another one I found last night was killing gurks on Lok. They take a little while to down, but are fairly easy. With a decent pet tank you can go to town on them. The only issue is getting the missions for them, or finding them in the wild.

Ft. Tusken and the Squill Cave are both on Tatooine. Just go to Bestine or Anchorhead and ask around. Some good sould is sure to give you the waypoints.

leveling any combat profession is pretty easy with a pet and master doctor enhancements and a crate of muon gold

if ya only got a non-ch pet, find a friend and buy a pile of pet-stims. The friend must be willing not to fight, only use the pet-stims. A bigger pet makes this cheaper, and ya may not need the friend along. probe droids are useful if ya have 3 of 'em, as they get damaged rotate them out. Generally, by the time the third droid is damaged the first droid should be fully healed in the datapad. MCH have the best time of it, rotating through 16ish pets allows for not buying a single petstim or having a friend along to heal.

many master doctors will enhance all 6 ehancements for about 6k and will last ya a good 2-2.5 hours. the secondary stats will be so high that you will not incurr any costs on your specials.

muon gold is an optional thing... since with the master doc enhancements the only thing you will be going through is mind cost from specials the muon gold will get around even this remaining small cost.

Finally a decent set of pistols of varying damage types sliced for speed and some speed powerups are nice but not terrible necessary.

The critters ya really want to go shoot are the ones that give about 2500 exp. ya can blow 'em apart fast enough to get the exp, but don't beat up on the pet to bad. Also, I have found that a safety precaution to avoid critters that deathblow, not every plan is full proof. Good critters to fight are huurton matron lairs and voritor lairs on dantooine. Careful with the voritors, make sure they are "voritor lizards" the other types of voritor poison or a bit to tough to power level on. Mining outpost is surrounded by many of these critters

Tourtons on rori are ok, but I find them to be a bit hard to find another bunch close enough to keep on leveling.

Torturs on Talus have the same problem as the tortouns.. too few good creatures between lairs.

another solid planet to try is Yavin IV... not much deathblows, but the critters can be a little to tough for a smaller pet and pet-stimming friend to keep up.

All in all, what ya really need is to find a Master Doctor and pay for a set of enhancements and get a good little tank and friend. These things should allow you to go from novice marksman to master pistoleer/carbineer in as little as 30-40 hours... maybe a bit less.

If you have a decent tank pet then I recommend the huurton matrons and huurton howler missions on Dantooine. I get at leat 2k xp's per huurton. At least.

I agree with ShadyChrsexcept that I did Torton missions on Rori. From the Rebel Outpost I could pull 2 5k credit torton missions around 500m from the base.

Each round of two lairs got me 30k xp and 10k credits, it took little time (maybe 20 mins with a bad distance update) and it was relatively easy. (Note: I didn't time this, but my last 350k xp only took 3.5 hours)

I bought a Adv. Ubese Helm/jacket/pants/boots/gloves and set bleeds with my FW, and when they came in close I auto fired with my DX2. There were almost always 2 at a time, I'd have to heal after 4 Tortons.

Please note: the shallow Tortons are bunk, go for the regular ones. Plus, npc stormtroopers will leach your xp, even if you are a reb (like me). I had to kill them first.

By the end of the trip I took on 4 Ravenous Tortons on at once (random lair spawn) and survived without incap and a good 2k condition knocked out of my Ubese Jacket.

The key is to have the ubese suit, set good bleeds, and be patient: don't run around because you'll miss with your DX2. Let them wail on you, low level medic skills are the only requirement.

I only used specials when I was bored and i was trying out my newly acquired BS3 (little disappointed, but ok).

I am a big fan of the baz nitch missions. They give me about 4.5k on the average, and about 4k for the lair. Let's say there were 6 total, that's a little over 30k for one lair. Take a couple of those on dathomir and it rolls in pretty quickly.

Thanks for all the help but as I said I am getting a bit tired of doing missions. What I was looking for were general area's with mobs and stuff. I think I'll try to check out the Squills in tatooine and jindas on endor.

Go to the krayt graveyard for the purpose of killing everything BUT krayt. Seems ironic doesn't it. Kill the razorbacks, dragonets, banthas, whatever you can get your hands on. There is a high concentration of it all. Razorbacks and banthas have herbi meat, so I would suggest picking up scout if you don't already have it, and you can sell the herbi meat to replace the missions.

Not even looking at the other replies so that you get a clean answer.

Dantooine. It's all about Dantooine, imo. I have a GSP that I hunt with. I go to the imp outpost, get 2 huurton missions. Get around 2k pistol for each huurton (this is averaged across howlers, matrons and regular ones.) Also I hunt thunes on the way. (Hune herd leader is 4k pistol ) And any lone novice force mystics or forsaken force drifters (another 4k.) I get more pistol xp than I know what to do with. Got enough for grips I and II today and didn't even notice until I decided to head back to Coronet for some R&R.

Eh, I went from Novice to 1-0-4-3 in 2 days by grinding Mynock Missions (9.5k Creds, 30k XP) and Gurk Missions (14k Creds, 55k XP). If you have a tank they should be no problem for you. The Gurk missions are level 72, so to get them I had to group my faction pets, however once they were all in group I went unarmed and got the Gurk missions about 600 meters away. Mynocks you can get ungrouped, unarmed, and about 400 meters away. Mynocks missions are a lot faster, Gurks give more XP, so whatever you want, it's up to you. I should've calculated the amount of Mynock missions I could do in an hour compared to Gurk missions, oh well.
