Pistoleer Archive
Thread: I just realized something about bleeds...
They are based on the damage of the weapon you are holding, right? Andthey all have the same multiplier (pistol/carbine/rifle/fencer/swordsman/pikeman), so don't we really get the short end of the stick? again?
This sucks.
Yes. We're screwed when it comes to bleeds -- ours do the lowest damage.

I did all the BH specials before I gave up the class...But thanks to the Holo I am back to BH
.
Bleeding shot is a worthless bleed, however torso shot, in terms of damage, is about the same as HS2, simply because torso does only 50% of its max damage in the bleed. The reason its bleed is normally thought to be better (And IMO it is better) is because the fire wounds, which is a huge plus.
When talking about pistoleer bleeds, you have to take into acount they affect the health pool, and because its the most commonly hit pool by large damage random specials, that gives the pistoleer a great advantage in PvE.....Granted in PvP its not as cool as having a mind bleed...But I have won a good share of fights by doing HS1/HS2/Fan-shot/Fan-shot/BS3/BS3 (Had a fast krayt Dx2).
Your large random special may not have a sutained DPS as high as something like torso, but used in conjuction with other specials, it can be devastating...The trick is to learn when to stop the spam, and switch to a straight DPS health special like BS.
