Thread: fanshot i cant work it

as the title says
i can get fan shot to work,
it good an all but it doesnt seem to target multiple enemies for me
any help, am i using it wrong?

Are you Master yet?.....although you get it way before master it aint much use without all the accuracy mods. Target the centre of the enemy group and circle them, FS will do the rest

Also the cone is fairly narrow, so if you are surrounded by melee mobs (read: most creatures) you will not likely hit any but the one you have targetted. Fanshot works much better on gun toting NPCs (faction missions for example) or in narrow quarters in dungeons if you're not the tank... though you have to be really careful or you will be hiting other mobs through the walls, which is generally a bad thing.

When I first got fan shot I didnt understand all the fuss either but after a while I started to use it to my advantage. You only hit multiple targets if you are a good distance away.. this is good and bad.. if you target to many targets (the geno dongeon is a bad place for fanshot unless you are in a few specific rooms) and you cant handle them you are in for some trouble but if you can handle them its a nice way to take away a good chunk of there HAM. It takes out random HAM mostly hitting astion and health but it does hit the mind pool also. I have found that once they get in close I will use HS2 w/bleed but only use this if you are trying to kill the creature and dont worry about xp. HS2 is nice because it targets one pool and does considersble damage, I like to mix this in with a knock down shot also.

cool thnx guys figured it out now, works like a charm
although it does tend to hostile everything in the area even if i hadnt attacked them

Hehe my first ever mistake with FS, using it on dath... im like **edit** hits me for 2k damage! next thing it says you have been incaped by blahblah nightsister elder.

lol, yeah the cone effect is still a little unpredictable. If you have the time to plan your use of FS check the area 1st and see what else you might aggro with it

What i do for fun with Fan Shot. Go to Endor, fully buffed and armored. Go to the Jinda ritualists cave. Shoot one, spam fan shot and RUN. Just keep running and spamming fan shot , you'll eventually aggro the whole cave and have around 150-200 ewoks chasing you !!
