As a master pistoleer I am finding I am wearing out my pistols extremely fast. Is this common?

My play style hasn't really changed though. I get buffed. Suit up and special away until the critter is dead. So as I said, same as before but pistols are toast twice as fast. I know the specials and power ups take their tole on a gun but should it be that much faster as a master pistoleer?

i am a master pistoleer and my guns still last the same amt of shots as before. they may seem to wear out faster because you are shooting at a higher rate of speed and if you are using an AOE it fires the gun more than once per special.(ie:fan shot; multitargetpistolshot)

Yes, we are quite the Weaponsmith-dream-class... It's a simple logic, every weapons in the game gets damaged by firing/using it. Pistols are the quickest rate of fire weapons, so we get to buy crates of guns... My fencer friend is still finding this amusing.
