Thread: THIS is the question we asked??!?!!

"Many Pistoleers feel that their attacks are generic. Vanilla random HAM is a big issue. How do the developers intend to "spice up" the profession, in the near and distant future?"

For God's sake, you should have KNOWN we'd get the "it's coming in combat balance" response! /grrrr

At least TH confirmed we'd get dual-wielding abilities (not sure why fencers need it, but...).

Can we PLEASE use our next question to pin down the specifics of dual-wielding?

1. What will be the certification (master, I hope)?
2. Will it actually be firing two pistols at once (roughly the same speed but roughly twice the damage) or will it be firing one pistol, then another (useful for splitting damage types, looking cool, and nothing else)?
3. What are the planned bonuses (more dps, etc.) and minuses (perhaps reduced accuracy)?
4. What is the ETA (combat balance, a mini-publish after that)?
5. Anything else SPECIFIC we can think of that will NOT be given mere lip service to with a crappy two-sentence "just you wait until we balance everything out, it will be uber-spice" answer.

Some details still have to be worked out, expect to see more information as the Combat Balance advances.

There you go honestly I really don't see the point in asking any question at all as I really don't see any answer other than CB being used.

I hear you, and I've already responded to this concern. Before and after we got our answer.

Darksbane & origitat are right on the money - anything that has to do with dual wield will get a "we don't know yet" answer. Thunderheart even hinted at that this time around.

What was with that "long it the tooth" bit? Am I the only one who interprets that as TH being tired of us raising the same issues again and again?

"Man I wish they would stop complaining, can't they see that pistoleer is S'POSED to be a complete waste of time and there is no way we are EVER gonna fix it?"

i'm assuming TH meant that answering questions was getting old, (long in the tooth literally means old, past its prime). not just us.

although it is funny that TH suddenly revitalized himself back into typing more than 3 sentences when he got to smuggler...
