I am about 20k xp away frm fanshot, and right now I must say my favorite special is Double-Tap.
Even as a Master Smuggler, Last Ditch is awesome ( the same as stopping shot basically, right? ) but double-tap rocks with a high-powered gun. My FWG5 has a max power of about 360 and hits anywhere from 600-2500 points of damage every 1-3 seconds ( speed is 1.8. )
I also have a FWG5 witha 1.0 speed and 206 max damage, and it just rucks for nailing down cons super quick.
I can't wait till I get home and get to get this last 20k xp!!!

Last Ditch is actually better than Stopping Shot! They both deal about the same amount of damage, but LD also has a 75% chance to put a stun effect on a target.

woot! bill, you and I are on the 401 post together! lol
Yes it does give stun, forgot that for a second. I think LD generally hits harder then Stopping shot, but they both have about the same delay huh?

Arrive at lair, kill initial defenders, shoot/hit lair ONCE and peace.
Kill defenders that spawn without hitting lair.
After defenders stop spawning (2-5 creatures depending on mission lvl) head to next lair and repeat.
Return to 1st lair and kill as normal, after initial defenders and 1st wave have been killed a second time you will notice your damage to the lair increases as the game classes it as 'empty'.
You should still have 1 spawn at about 60% of the lairs ham left.
This does not work on NPC bases (as they don't spawn defenders when damaged although you can run about 500m away and the npc's will reset)
Hope this helps

so tell me this then, is it better to do missions than to say, cruise arount dath and kill lairs without the mission? I cant see the benefit to all that running back and forth. not to mention you have to fly into a major city each time to get into a solo group...

Before MLS i would get 300-400k doing voritors on dant this way. After MLS i would get 700k-1mil per buff. Dont know about running wild on endor cause havnt done that since revamp.

Also another note.... What does it hurt to go into a city to get a solo group? Takes maybe 5 minutes to do and it wont give you visibility unless your using force somehow. If its a BH thing they will find you just as easy in wild as in town.

You only need to go 128ms from the mission lair to allow it to reset. You have to delay a bit (5 minutes? maybe less). If there is a wild spawn that distance out you can hit that, then go back to your lair. If you take 2 missions in the same direction, if you are lucky they will spawn near each other, so you don't have to run back and forth very far.
As for the solo group, I was skeptical of the time it takes to get it going, but the extra critters from missions mean you don't have to depend on good wild spawns for a high xp rate.

I'm sure this varies by server, but Dantooine Mining Outpost seems to be the best bet on Radiant, since so many peeps hunt Dant critters, and you can always hunt out of deserted player cities.

Depends on your server. On Shadowfire solo groups mostly run out of the Mining Outpost on Dant. If you know your server and do some looking around you will be set. I can get a solo group 24/7 within 10 minutes. And if that fails just find an Imp buddy with an AT-ST.

The other day I was asking for a group, but got no replies. I suddenly realized that there were 3 other people standing there shouting the same "looking for solo group". I invited them, we spammed some invites, and within 10 minutes we had a full group.
