I can't remember if I've posted this question before in this forum or not, but here it is again.

If you've got a .5 speed pistol, and u've capped pistol speed, will it actually fire at 1.0 speed? I did run the numbers through that site that does the calculations for weapon speeds, but I'm not sure that site's calculations work with a speed lower then 1.0.

I'm really interested in knowing this, cause it'll effect my decision on what pistols I buy in the future.

yes, no weapon can currently fire faster than 1.0 speed. that's the cap for all weapons

It would have to be. that's an extreme example of the danger of such exploits

It would have to be. that's an extreme example of the danger of such exploits

no doubt.... even with legendary tissues and a perfect slice and powerup, you're still looking at WELL under 1k for dmg

Max damage on a scatter pistol(155 is what my stock scatters are):

155 + 300 = 455 max damage with a 300 max damage krayt tissue(highest tissues can be from what we have heard)

455 * 1.35 = 614 max damage with a 35% damage slice(highest slice)

614 * 1.33 = 816 max damage with a 33% power up(pretty much the best I have seen on PU)

This is the theoretical max. Maybe if you got some legendary projectile pistol barrel you might be able to add a little more damage but you almost never find projectile pistol barrles with decent stats.

Maybe you could get very lucky and loot a nice scatter and get it sliced for damage and stuff.. but crafted no way it can get over 1k damage.

ps. on topic at hand I know I have seen guns with below 1 speeds and what happens is it will behelp when firing specials(auto fire with a gun below 1 will fire at 1) but at the end when the gun is fired the fastest it can fire is 1 per second.At least this is what I believe.
