Thread: Learning skills above Novice Pistoleer player teachable, or NPC only?

For the life of me I couldn't find anyone to teach me the Pistoleer skill of Intermediate Pistol Marksmanship.

Lot's of people tried to teach me the 'marksman' skill of similar name, to no avail of course, since i already had it... that was frustrating for me *and* them. hehe

So, after several hours of trying to find a player to train me (I was playing, too - just spamming a 'train me please' message everywhere i went), i broke down and went to the pistoleer trainer...

Can players teach this, and i just couldn't find any (maybe there aren't that many advanced enough yet), or must all skills at this point be learned from the NPC?

Thx.

Players can train it, it's probably rare at this point though. I think you'll find most players went for Tactics or Stances and Grips lines first, as they provide more tangible benefits.

thanks.

i looked at tactics vs. marksmanship vs. stances/grips. can't remember why now, but the tangible benefits of tactics and stances/grips didn't seem overwhelming to me, other than the defensive benefits of stances/grips (which I'll do the next box in i think).

the quick bump to accuracies on marksmanship was what 'felt' best about the options at the time, i guess.

The accuracy bonus is nice, but I didn't notice I was missing all that much to need it right away. Also, my template doesn't have the points for that line and I will be getting my speed and accuracy both from the bounty hunter pistol line.
