This is what I know about it: Sapping shots do not seem to be cumulitive. A second shot will increase the chances of it being MORE deadly then an early shot, to a certain point, therefore it can be a good tactic if you don't hit 300 or 400 the first time to shoot another sap shot out.(Most enemies don't start coming at you from just sap shot until they lose health).

My question is: If I shoot the first time for 400 and the second time for 100, will the sap shot be 100 or 400? I know that if it was 100, 400 the bleeding would be at a rate of 400, but I want to know if it does the most recent shot, or the most successful.

It sounds like you're saying the damage you see on your initial shot is the same damage that will occur each timethe creature takes bleed damage. Which is an interesting idea, but what makes you think that? I haven't seen anything yet that would imply that, but I may have missed it.

What we need is for someone to duel a pistoleer and see how bleed works in a controlled situation. Shoot once with health shot 2, peace, see how much damage bleeding does. Shoot again with health shot 2, see if you bleed more frequently, or same frequency but more. Shoot with health shot 1, and see if bleeding increases, decreases, or stays the same. And make sure you have a medic who knows how to stop bleeding! How do you stop bleeding btw - I know it's possible, but what skill is it?

First Aid 2 gives you the First Aid ability which allows you to stop someone's bleeding.

This is what ive noticed with healthshot and Bleedshot. healthshot will subtract the value of hit every tick and if you reapply a healthshot then the second number suplants the first number. so if healthshot for -400 then every tick the target will bleed -400 . if healthshot for -400 then shoot again andhealthsot -500 then the target will loose -500 a tick instead. on Bleeding, the bh pistol first skill, . its 1/3 the shot is the bleed. bleed also bleeds the mind pool not the health pool. so if use Bleeding say for -300 then every tick the target will bleed -100 on minpool. can redo a Bleed like can redo a healthshot. Bleed and Healthshot will stack with each other. i think bleed will stack with mindshot but been to lazy to verify. ok thats it , i hope this made some sense

Correct, Stargoo...

Only the HIGHER Sap shot dmg will take. If you start out with a 100 Healthshot and then follow it up with a 400 Healthshot, the 400 will overwrite the 100. HOWEVER, the 20s counter is reset for the 400 shot. I have tested this on healthshot. Only the higher one does dmg and that dmg is done consistently every 20s.

There have been many times where I will plug a hard target with 2 or 3 healthshots until I see the dmg I'm looking for.

And to answer the rest of your question, if you start with 400 and follow up with a shot of 100, then again, the 400 takes precedence.

the bleeds DO stack.

apply healthshot 1

immediately apply health shot 2

sit back and watch.

you do indeed get 2 bleeding animations - indicating 2 ticks per Xsecs.

1from healthshot1 and 1 from healthshot2

the bleeding shot from BH stacks as well

AS does torso shot.

Truth.

now whether the bleed stays the same after every tick - that i dont know - for sure. I dont notice a drop in the damage rate - i see a steady decline in a given targets ham bars throughout the fight - i never reapply the tick - unless it is a cheap tick..............hahahahahahaha

less than 250 - ill reapply.
