I went master marksmen first because of the extra buffs at master marksmen. From reading on the pistoleer page it seems like alot of ppl are bypassing mater marksmen and going stright for pistoleer. Why are are you bypassing the buffs that you get from master marksmen?

Just curious.

Becuase carbines generally stink stat wise, I really dislike the fighting style that's required for rifle use.

It uses a lot of skill points to reach master marksman if all you plan to use is your pistol. You can save 28 points from not using the rifle or carbine trees and I think 1 for not becoming master. A lot of people are going for 2 elite professions and can't afford to use that many points for something they won't use.

I tried out all the weapons when I started out so I reached master marksman. Now that I've settled on the pistol I will start giving up points in the carbine and rifle trees when I need those points elsewhere.

None of my plans require master marksman, so why throw away all those skill points?

What are the extra "buffs" that you are talking about. Is there an actual benefit to getting master marksman first?

Well the reason being that you get +5 to speed + 10 to accuracy and + 5 to mele defence for pistols with master marksmen. So what you are saying is that isnt worth the cost of the skills?

I went to the top of pistol and the top of ranged weapons support...skipped all the rest..i have 0 carbine exp and 24 rifle exp *i fired a jawa rifle once*

Why bother, save the points...

....I am leaning towards going smuggler with some of my rest...but thats an assload of pistol exp.

If yah really want to be the best with a pistol you are gonna need the bounty hunter modifiers and skills. That is the major reason I masterd marksman was to be able to hit up bounty hunter... P.S. I loathe WSXP.

Why not master marksman? Because I won't have the skill points after mastering my other chosen proffession: Ranger. Mastering Pistoleer and Ranger will leave me with a whole 4 or 6 points(I forget which) which is just enough to master skill I of carbine and rifles.

If I were going for all out Pistol Master though I'd be doing master marksman, and some BH or possibly Smuggler.

As it is, I just simply can't afford it.

all you need is hunting IV and exploration IV from scout. you get it from harvesting animals, its called scout XP

It all matters what people are doing besides pistoleer. I am personally going up the BH tree as well but I have not gotten master marksmen yet because I hate using a rifle or a carbine but I will eventually. All matters what you want to do and how yous pend your points.

I really wish they would release what skills you ned of CH so I know what to spend my points on to kep my gurrek.
