Thread: Did they fix pistol melee defense 2?
If they did I hadn't noticed. Course their idea of fix is the same a Vet had concerning a dog. CUT YER NUTTS OFF.

Nothing in update notes about it being fixed. But then they said waite for the CB to get our specials working changed etc.
The description for MD2 just says, as MD1 but more damage. But when I tried MD2, it only hit about half the time MD1 did. I almost never knocked things down with it. So I went back to MD1, and it does decent, just doesn't work against higher level stuff. So IMHO MD2 needs to do more damage, AND work against higher level mobs. An added effect of say Stun or Dizzy with MD2 would be nice and appropriate too.
Although I ran into a dark jedi player the other day. To my surprise, MD1 knocked him down. It was perfect, I let him follow me into a spawned rebel base, and MD him, as he got swamped by the rebel NPC. There were nothing for him to dispatch, but gave me some time run and gain distance.

I believe the documentation states otherwise. It functions as you say but I believe it is supposed to KD. Do you have information that says otherwise?

As far as PMD2 not being a knockdown. I just have to shake my head at this. Why would PMD2 not be a knockdown? Why would they put a knockdown lower on the tree? Doesn't make sense to me, but then again a lot of the things SOE has done here does not make sense.
About the jedi you were able to KD. I believe that jedi have 0 defense against KD, so it should be rather easy to knock them down.
