Check it out....
Bounty Hunter 0040 (Pistol Tree)
Pistoleer 0040 (Pistol Tree)
Smuggler 0040 (Pistol Tree)
Novice Commando
(1 Skillpoint Left to Spare)
You get ALL Pistol Certifications...Scatter Pistol, Launcher Pistol, DX2, Republic Blaster, Geo Blaster, FWG5, etc etc
You get a ranged knockdown, ranged delay, highest damage pistol attack (last ditch) enough speed and accuracy mods from bounty hunter to fire at the cap and VERY accurately... awesome area attack (fanshot)...and other attacks from those trees..Pistoleer Defenses from the Techiques tree and ranged damage mitigation 2.
You get all types of damage too...blast, stun, heat, energy, kenetic,acid....I heard the template rocked in PvP also.
AND since you have master scout you get awesome terrain negotiation and mask scent etc.

What is the DE=10?Weapon to come out in a future patch or update? Where is the cert being placed for that?

I could have sworn the Geo cert was in 0020.

Yep, coming with the deathwatch bunker addition. It will be similar to the Geo pistol, where you loot the schematic, limited use, and have to loot some item to make it. It will be certed at Master.

This template seems a bit weak to me. It makes you a jack f all trades but a master at nothing. A master pistoler /Bh pistols is a much better combo.

you get Geo cert from 0002pistols... so you would miss that with your current temp.
I am running around with Master Pistoleer and BH (3040) and loving it... soon as the terms are fixed I will be jedi hunting again!

this is the build i use on my alt.
my primary (stealth) is master pistol/rogue/novice commando/ 4000 scout/novice medic, and will be undergoing some template changes for the first time since augest (most ive done is switch back and forth betweeen acid rifle and flame trees). the bh pistol template works nice, but there are better bonuses from being bh pistols 4 and master pistoleer. the rogue tree is not as useful as it used to be when panic shot worked as a ranged area delay. Last ditch is not necessarily worth all of those skill points (anymore)unless you really need the stun status effect for some reason.

Interesting build... what's the typical speed of a Launcher Pistol?
EDIT: Poked around a bit... if I could get my hands on a Launcher Pistol that is 2.7 or less speed with 260-270 max [dmg sliced]... would make for a good weapon against unarmored targets [PvP], but what I don't know is what the range mods are on the LPs... any insight from someone 'round here?

In PvP, anything wearing armor warrents the use of a Geo Blaster... My thought is a Launcher Pistol vs. non-armored targets.
