I was master BH for awhile but prefer pistol fighting. I changed to Master Pistoleer, BH 0/0/3/0 with novice medic. (I don't like relying on others to heal me during battle or afterwords).

The specials with this template for pvp far outweigh the smuggler pistol line. Dirty fighting/last ditchonly delay's their inevitable trip to the cloning center. The scatter pistol is the best all around pistol, a geo blaster with eye shot pretty much rules (unless against stun armor, then back to the scatter).

If the dev's ever give the Pistoleer the mind shot they deserve, you will see most of the Pistoleers with BH pistols drop it if the DE-10 proves to be the pistoleer equal to the bh scatter.

Just my thoughts, our profession needs some work, but it's a great pvp template if you understand how to use it...

I am a former master bounty hunter and although I wholly disagree with trolling on another prfessions forum and trying to flame them all for a bit of dabbling I have to agree that jedi hunting should be moved to master. The devs have blatantly told Bounty Hunters everywhere with their silence that they have NO INTENTION of making MBH a worthwhile achievement. I stayed MBH for one week when I got it, and tried to hunt jedi BEFORE they were trackable.

I don't care whether or not you're a master or how long you have been a master, to say that nobody should dabble in investigation to hunt jedi is stupid. And if you want my fellow pistoleers to drop investigation 3 and stop hunting jedi you should drop all carbineer skills and give up Crippling Shot. We all know that the ability to hunt jedi and weapon stacks are the only things generating new BH's and Crippling Shot is the only reason anyone would EVER pick up a carb.

Truth is, the elite marksman are not balanced and in order to balance them, pistoleer and carbineer have to stack BH trees leaving nothing but investigation left to spend our points on. I suggest if you wish to stop dabblers in your profession you show love to your fellow gun toters and help them get their professions fixed to the level that they should be, surely the bounty hunter community have nothing to lose and everything to gain from pistoleer and carbineer getting a skill increase. And while you're at it, get the devs to fix your master box, I had to spend 217 points on BH leaving enough for medic 3030 (my MBH stack for PvE) and I'm afraid that I didn't get my fantastic reward for doing all 120 plus BH npc missions to reach master.

i think we NEED jedi bounties at least to be at investigation 3. if not lower.

with all the jedi expected in the new system, we need every check and balance we can get against these foolmongering lightsaber-throwers.

the ONLY thing that defines a bounty hunter is the investigation line. nothing else. without investigation, what is a BH? good with carbines, but not really. good with pistols, but not really. good with the LLC, but who cares. The investigation line should be a complete seperate profession that requires 100 skill points. then you can spend the rest of your points being the BH you actually want to be. These cookie cutter MBH out there make me sick. yes, its a lot of work, but no payoff for it. other than saying, "hey, I am a MBH." I made it to 3/4/4/4 in BH before I decided to drop almost all of it for master pistoleer. now I am a a master pistoleer/BH 4/0/3/0. if you want to think your a better BH go right ahead. but I have the bounty hunter I want.

Also, to the original poster, it is a good template. I never used torso shot, so I dropped it and picked up invest 4 for faster tracking. even with out pistols 4 you still fire at the speed cap on every weapon, with +145 accuracy. some people like torso shot though, so its up to you.
