Hello, im a novice pistoleer and i was wondering what hte best pistoli can use will be? My friend the bh got a scatter pistol and now does 500 dmg with bodyshot 2...theres gotta be a pistol i can keep up with him using....help out

This is all true. A no melee profession should be able to successfully tank a Nightsister Elder for half an hour. But I do have to mention that in total it technically took four people to kill this Nightsister, I didn't mention it in the original post because the forum bugged out while I was trying to change the title to "pistols? why did I even try?"
It took me, a speed capped pistoleer, a speed capped pikeman. A doctor to heal said pikeman, everyone landing whatever state effects they could and also a swordsman who was trying to kill it solo and did the first 4k damage before my team arrived.
Also true that the NS Elder is nothing without her powers. Also true that it should take a guild to drop her and not a pistoleer and a pikeman. But the fact ramains that it took me half an hour to drop those resists whereas other professions can do it in five minutes and when the pikeman gained a 1.5% damage window I WAS OUTDAMAGED!!! That was the point of this post, Pistoleer is not making a contribution in high end PvE and is useless PvP also as he can either gain effective offence or effective defence and not both.#
All pistoleers need to come together and objectively examine our profession and where it stands in the game, yes the devs say that "the combat balance is just around the corner" and "everything will be good after the balance and don't worry" "the balance will be good to you" We need to look at everything objectively and see how it affects us as a profession, as it stands we are not on the recommended player lists for the Geonosian Caves, Corvette or Death Watch Bunker, hell pistoleers aren't even called to hunt large creatures for meat anymore...
It should be the pistoleers priority now to find out what the combat balance will bring, I for one can't tolerate the the state of non-existence that the pistoleers of Eclipse are in, I'm going to take up new arms and contribute to the game until this balance, until then my pistols are layed to rest.
