There should be appropriate penalites to offset the possible power of Dual Wielding weapons...one of these penalties could be the realistic factor of a limited range. As ranged professionals we can fire from 64 meters away, but if we want to use 2 pistols at once it does not seem feasible. Discussion said we should be just out of melee's lunge range, but not so far that we can kite so easily.

This code is already evident in the programs architecture as Commandos have to face this normally.

We will also discuss accuracy problems as another possible hit. Remember there should always be balance, and dual wielding should be a tactical decision. The actual range number can be changed, this is more to see if this would be one of the feasible "down sides" to dual wielding.

So how would you vote on a limited range penalty to offset the powah of the dual wield side of the force?

A. 30m Range sounds fine to me.

B. No Limited Range Just higher accuracy hits.

i would say the B vote was a mistake since it is no penalty to have only less accuracy when using dual wield. but we are all not perfect and i think a new vote is not the clue. Maxx you already know what would be the best balance for dual wield and some realists and veteran pistoleers also know it.

but of course if you ask the kiddis and noobs if they better want a balancing issue or just no nerf for more power be sure no one of these people would say A. and thats what happened.

its the same as to ask jedi if they would vote

A. for balance due lower saberblock and higher jedi toughness(against melee).

or

B. no changes but higher damage output of ls.

the result would be to nerf all but the jedi who would get just more power. maybe for jedi that could even be possible since they are uhm a bit overpowered in this game but we are a normal prof and wont ever see to overpower us.

so the solution could be just to discuss what people think about dual wield and what they would like to see. maybe some ideas are really great but most are just illusions and not a balancing issue. our biggest problem is the lack of ap2 and damage output. not to mention our not working specials.....

also the point that we have for a ranged prof no good ranged defense. dodge is not enough at all and the ranged defense is a laugh for ranged tanks we should be.

back to topic... i like the niveua in this forum even we are a totally broken prof too but you know if you throw people a not clear idea infront they dont understand what you wanted to do with it.

i think youre idea was that people are so intelligent to understand your idea of the A and B vote ...i mean that B is not a real solution just a point to make other ideas for balancing dual wield. but it was easier to say just : " I want B!!!" since you gave people this chance.

Ive asked all the B Voters to come into the discussion thread since when I brought up limited range no one talked against it much in the discussion thread...so Ive asked again that those that believe accuracy hit only could come into the discussion thread and talk about other penalties against dualwielding...

if no other alternative is proposed, we will be forced to go with this lol
i dunno, but dual wield that can't hit anything would be pretty useless
