Thread: Master Pistoleer...what else?

I just got Novice Pistoleer and Novice Bounty Hunter (I am just going up the pistol tree in BH) and I was wondering what other profession I should choose with it, I have Novic Medic as well, only so I can heal myself. Anyways, does anyone have any suggestions of a good profession to go with Pistoleer?

Personally, I'd recommend not mastering pistoleer and instead tuck some fencer for additional defense. For example, 4440 Fencer, 0041 Pistoleer, 0040 BH. You'll loose out on ranged mitigation 3 and the DE-10, you'll sacrifice a minimum of 40 accuracy but you'll gain melee mitigation 2, melee and ranged def aswell as a number of secondary defenses (and a comparable dodge to a master pistols template). Not too mention how you'll have brawler, and as such intimidate.
If your deadbent on getting the master title though, fencer is still a pretty good idea. Either 4000 or for the extra ranged/melee defense, or 0040 for mitigation and state defenses.

medic is good, but not at the price of not having master pistoleer. master pistol, bh pistol 4 should be your base. you need those to do some damage, and to survive. then you can add in smuggler for a bit more offense, or fencer for a bit more defense.
master pistol
bh 0040
fencer 0340 or 0430 or 4030 or 3040 but it must be at least 0030 for melee mitigation
or
master pistol
bh 0040
smuggler 0040
few skill points left over to spend, but not much you can get with em
with these templates, you'll be tough to hit and youll take damage well, so you wont need to heal as much and you can focus on killing instead of healing. besides, you are going for their mind anyways, if they have medic skills its not helping them...

Ok small change...I just started glowing too so which one of those templates should I go for if I want to get some of the Jedi boxes? I don't want to go full Jedi, just get some one point skills.

I have to comment on this one. Go with a form of Entertainment. It gives you ub3r intimidate skills, you can scare lots of people out of the cantina with just 2 letters, ¨Hi!¨ I´m also a Master Pistoleer but its kind of funny to watch the most hardcore combat people turn and tuck tail when I greet them, scared stiff they are of a LIVE entertainer. lol, ok so maybe its not the ub3r template but it sure scares a lot of people out of the cantina and to the nearest buffbot standing in the foyer, and they think the wall will save them from my greetings, muahaha!

I'm liking my pure pistol template (master Pist, 0040 Smug, 0040 BH). It's pretty hard hitting and feign death makes up for whatever I lack in healing and defenses. If you add in novice commando at the bargain price of 6 skill pts, you can do every damage type (uh..except lightsaber). As an added bonus, with eyeshot I don't always die in PvP now either. Just most of the time.

if u plan on pvpin use a scatter.most prepared experienced pvp'ers use 40% stun armor and a 50% psg(person shiled generator) and geo has ap0(armor piercing 0) so dont use geo much lol.use a scatter becuase it has ap1 and bipasses psg's

if there armor rating is light and ur using a pistol with armor piercing:none ur damage gets cut into
-50%.it hapens in pvp to because pple use composite which is armor rating light.

How does the AP work against the 80% acid resist? Is it cust in half? If so I see your point. I'll probably see your point anyway just don't remember. Thanks.
